Are there really no high quality CH style sticks that don't require extra pieces for twisting or thrust?

Not that I've seen.  Neither the high end Thrustmaster sticks nor any of the CH sticks have twist.  At that level, they assume you're going to have rudder pedals (which really are vastly superior).  The highest end stick I've seen with twist is the Saitek X-52.

As for thrust, the CH sticks do have a small analog throttle wheel in the base.  I normally use it for elevator trim since I have a separate throttle, but it's functional for throttle control.

I am still dreaming of the new force sensing sticks.
Force SENSING not feedback..... my new work notebook has a small force sensing pin in addition to the pad to act as a mouse.
It's incredible accurate.
Now this in a joystick... no dead zone needed, no calibration (aside from user preference in sensitivity) awesome fine control and still the ability to simulate a wide range of maximal input. Not limited by the range the stick moves, since the stick does not move.
But the price tag is damn heavy.

P.S.: CH, Thrustmaster and Saitek all seem to have them

looking at you, my future Saitek x52 and 5 -button wireless mouse...
People are stupid if they think they can have their own way.

... that is, unless they have HEAP rounds, high-explosive homing missiles, and terawatt lasers on a walking weapons platform, that is...

So my X52 pro is showing up in the mail today - tomorrow. Anything specific I need to know about configuring it or will it be relatively self explanatory through software & action mapper?
