Aero/VTOL Uncontrollable Spinning
« on: July 26, 2010, 07:03:04 AM »
Severity - 4/5
Repro - Completely Randomized (15% of the time)

Same thing happens on Crysis with helicopters. When I enter VTOL or Aircraft, I have no control over aiming and it wildly spins to the left. When the map screen or purchase menu is loaded it stops, but then I can't use weapons while its open.

Do you have any joyticks/flight controlers or gamepads conntected?
I have had problems with my flight controler (X52) loosing its calibration at times causing control issues.

You sure you dont have any controls that are conflicting with each other when using the actionmapper that could cause this issue?

I had the same issue.
One day I accidently plugged off the USB cabel for my digicam... and all was fine afterwards. I replugged it and the spinning started again.
-> In some weird way the usb-cabel interferred with my usb-joytsick...

Since that day I less as possible usb stuff connected to my sys when using the joystick and never had any problems again.

Xbox 360 controller for Windows. No overlaps in the actionmaps

hmm...I wonder if my USB mic is causing my random spinning in my mech.  Its a stretch, but maybe some how its input is being interpreted as control input.

From reading on the forums, I have noticed that quite a few players seem to have problems with other USB devices connected to the computer.
If you have problems, I sugest you try disconnect it and see if it solves the problem.

I get this bug also. I have a CH controller set up. It occurs I estimate 1/5 times that I try aero. It is also a lot more frequent if I start the match in mechs then switch to aero compared to vice versa.
