Here is a BT concept that would have a hard time working in MWLL: to think that real game-playing humans ("the playerbase") will mirror (as a group) the tactics, morals and battle logic of fictitious Clan or Inner Sphere entities and as such then request that development model the weapons and gameplay to mirror those elements of fiction.

Shit just got real. Also, completely accurate.
I want to put a bullet between the eyes of every panda that won't screw to save it's species. I want to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all those French beaches I'll never see. I want to breathe smoke. I want to destroy something beautiful.

dezgra units.
aren't these old clanners who serve no better purpose than to die in battle?

No dezgra is a term which marks a unit/faction/individual as dishonourable and unworthy. As such the common rules of clan fighting may be ignored if a dezgra unit is encountered, ergo: multiple clanners firing at a single target, no bondsmen taken etc.

Solohma is the term you're looking for.old or unworthy warriors used as garrison or little more than cannon fodder.

http://sarna.net/wiki/Solahma

sorry i was referring to the old part of the qoute, not the dezgra part.I just got lazy and quoted the whole thing. The dezgra is,of course correct.just wanted to state thiers a difference between solahma and dezgra. Being that the degra activitely commited an act to become disgraced, and the solahma just...well....got old lol.

Aha, so I was only correct in that the term refers to clanners and not something the clanners would refer to an IS unit as.  It's been awhile since I've read the Jade Falcon Trilogy :/.  And yea, real players never play anything close to what the CBT pilots would do.

It is a concept being thought about now for a long term scrim on a grand scale that could be conducted between a couple of teams (wont' mention who) with the experience, lore knowledge and love of the game to make it work within the confines of what we have available to us now.

[...  And IS pilots wouldn't think twice about legging a clanner, while to clanners that's dishonorable, the IS pilots will do whatever it takes to win...

I like this idea - Clan mechs should only do half damage to IS legs~   ;D
