Reward for AECM

I must admit I did not check if this is already in place, but with the CTDs it would take very long to check it out.

It would be great to get a reward for having people in range of your AECM, just like C3 running.

Yeah, the reward is called the element of surprise.   

Smarmy remarks aside, you're already in an Atlas, so you're clearly well-off as far as C-Bills go.  I think the point of adding the C-Bill bonus for having C3 up was to make scouting a worthwhile endeavor.

As far as I know only the the Atlas has the AECM, and then only some of the Atlas versions even have it.

Seeing as you can run around like a dope and get C3 points, but have to dutifully follow people around with an otherwise worthless Atlas, I'd say its fair.

But you could have been supported by your fellow teammembers to get an Atlas at CDT rank. Then it would be good to have this addon behave like the C3 does.And even if you already have enough bills to afford an Atlas, this way more people would choose it just to share even more bills with their teammates.
After all, it's not THAT much.

An Atlas with AECM is rather silly IMO AECM should be going to smaller faster scouts (who can run to where needed and take cover/use speed to dodge).

Well one great use for the Atlas AECM is that you can march with other assaults across an open field and cut the missile lockons.
And of course we always have the surprises it can produce, its not utilized much now because the Atlas otherwise sucks, and sneak attacks arent as important when all you're doing is fighting over the same places over and over and over.

Does AECM work whilst the Atlas is in passive radar or only in active mode?

Agreed, something about the idea of having a bunch of Shadow Cats running under a Raven's AECM sounds fun to me  THE INVISIBLE NINJA ARMY OF DOOM!!!

This came to my mind again today. There are cheap assetes with AECM. And I still think it should reward the user with some points and some CBills.

And please do not say: You already got so many positive effects, do not add another.
But firing a laser at an enemy damages him. Why should you be rewarded with extra money, too.

Not sure how I feel personally about getting money for AECM coverage in general, but it would be nice to get a couple extra c-bills for every NARC you knocked off

Yep, AECM usage should be rewarded. For knocking out NARCs, preventing enemy from seeing your units on the radar...

Most AECM platforms are also generally assets that aren't massively popular for their combat capabilities; the Hephaestus is pretty much a dedicated scout, the Hellbringer has paper-thin armour and unreliable heat management, and the Atlas is a big fat target. Anything that encourages players to use these assets, at this stage, is a good thing IMO.
