1st Granite, 1051, Early Spring
Our trek to this little hill in the middle of nowhere ended today. This is the place we were told to start a trading outpost, Armok knows why. It's a promising area from the looks of it, though the elephants wandering around to the north concern me. I'll have to get our masons to work setting up traps for them as soon as they're done making some basic furniture for us.
On the issue of naming, we decided on "Lardbones." It came out of this
hilarious joke that Vucar told the other night when we were gathering 'round our campfire after settling down following a day's travel, and I don't care to tell the whole story here. Likot wanted a more serious name, but since we're probably not going to be much more than an unimportant little backwater trading post I really couldn't give a marmot's tail.
