hmm cool.  Can we test it on one of our servers?  If it's fun we should add it to the rotation.

But I played Crysis Wars. More then just 1 week.
And the autodownloader was set to 'auto' in my config. When I had to download a map I only recognized a longer map loading time, nothing else.
None of the crap you stated before as facts did I ever encounter.

But what do I know since I never read any documentation...

I got a chance to play on this map last night , and I must say it is gorgeous!  :D Nice Job Wilson!

I recorded some cool battles on it between demos and scats, I'll see about posting them up on youtube in the next couple of days  8)

Ok here it is. It doesn't really do much justice to the map. Can I suggest that update your initial post to say that, for people using the Steam version of Crysis Wars, the path for the new map would be:

\Steam\SteamApps\common\crysis wars\Mods\mwll\Game\Levels\Multiplayer\TC

All of these Community Created map installation issues, will be addressed in the MWLL 0.5.0 release. The map AutoDownload feature of the Crysis Wars Dedicated server software has now been re-engineered to work with the MWLL mod.

Map has been updated for MWLL 0.5.x and has been packed to be compatible with the new Auto Map Download feature of MWLL. Details are in the first post.

This is one sweet map! Several of us 12thVR guys had a run around/explore of the map today. We really enjoyed it. So much detail!  :D
BAs will have a field day on this map as well. Plenty of places to hide/ambush unwary 'Mechs.  :o

I think it would be quite good as a TOS map for scrims/battles, say 5v5 or possibly 8v8.

I tried running this map with the latest version on my server, "dickbutt". All the KoS guys joining kept getting a Server Error 1, which is caused by an error in the map AFAIK. When I switched to a different map, everyone could join just fine.

Also, when I saw the statue of liberty in the map, I approached it from the front..

Saber, please ask your fellow Mechwarriors having trouble connecting to this map, to post their game.log files so (Wilson) can see what these clients are experiencing.

Yeah, that statue model came from Cymod, and it didnt include the source so I cant fix the screwed up UV's on it.. it also came without a texture, so that one is basically a rock texture being tiled over it, and it makes the screwed up uv problem very noticable when you look closely...
 
Good news is that statue is a placeholder.. the plan is to stick something similar there that fits in the battle tech universe. A statue of either some kind of mech, or a standin for a known person if I ever become a decent human-shape modeller lol .. something like that anyway :)
 
Little worrying about the joining errors, but its hard to give any advice without seeing a log to know whats happening.. I cant remember from the top of my head what Error(1) is... 2 is punkbuster kicking you, 3 is invalid cd-key.. they are all related to the server disconnecting because it thinks something is wrong with or it cant verify something with the client. I'd try the usual suspects, delete shader cache, turn off punkbuster on the server if its on, try a new profile etc.. if you can get me a couple of logs I should be able to narrow it down further if its a problem with the map.

It would happen to my server every time. Interesting to note that my client wouldn't crash, just the dedicated server, the commmand prompt it was running in would just shut off as soon as anyone connected. Note that we were trying to run it in ToS gamemode... I will see if I can get it to run in TC later and get back to you.

Yeah, that's when you were running it.  :P
My server would just puke up an error in the console when someone tried to connect and got that (1) error, when in TC mode.
