Request: Thor vairants

I'd love to see these variants added at a future date after the Mediums and Lights are finished with. The last one would reign holy terror on BA pilots such as myself; while the same time give credence to a brawler pilot without the worry of ammo. Only heat should concern the weary pilot. I would add the original Thor B to this but seeing as to how we've already got enough missile boats as is. Not a good idea to add another to the mix. Still, it's up to you and the Devs, King.

 I'm with you here, man. Devs will feel my righteous rage if they make it with the same arms on both sides. And remember, people, cylinder LRM pod, not boxy.

 Are Mi-24 and Hind both right names? Or one is a proper name, given by an organisation, created it and another is a third-party designation?

The entire Inner Sphere call this 'mech Thor. I think that's enough to just stop saying like this: "FIRST OF ALL IT IS THE SUMMONER NOT THE THOR" 

Personally I prefer to call 'mechs as they are, I mean their original names: Summoner, Timber, Adder (and  Mad Cat Mk2!!!).
But I just find it silly when people say, that the other names are wrong, what isn't correct actually

You sir, must just be trying to get a rise out of this clansman because that is the EXACT way to do it...telling me an IS name is just a vaild as a clan name, what kind of crazy backwardsass freebirth world do you live in? There is one name for the 70 ton jumping behemoth that weilds awesome weaponry with great manurverability and that is the Summoner, any other dezgra piece of honorless scum that thinks otherwise may challenge me to a trial of grievance any time in that mech to settle what is what.  And even more I would debase my own honor by accepting your challenge just to uphold the honor of my mech of choice.

Of course it matters not if one or 20 billion IS freebirths call it by the name "Thor". Our PPCs shall burn the proper designation to to the retinas of whatever freeborn trash stands in our way.

On a note more related to the original post: I shall agree with the others here who have declared their support for the proper prime variant. It is a shame many Prime variants do not do well in MWLL currently but it is still very nice to have them there, and hopefully system tweaks and/or new game modes will see them used more.

Um... I will not bring you to love me with what I will write now, but for me the Summoner always seemed a bit undergunned for its weight. Even though it has JJ and good armor I would rather stick with my Hellbringer in most cases since it has more firepower and thus does a better job at point defense and hit and run.

Can anyone list me some reasons why a lot of you trothkin think that the Summoner is so great (no challenge imposed, just curiosity)?

In the board game the Thor prime does not have the heat problems of the Loki, and the crit seeking capability of the LBX10 is quite nice.

The loki may be packing a lot of firepower, but it can't even fire both ERPPCs without going into the red. And while it seems like the 1.5 ton difference is not significant, the Thor has 17 points of armor on the arms, the Loki has 11. The Thor has 21 points of armor on the torsos, the Loki has 14.

Which means the loki takes a Single Gauss/CERPPC hit and the damage is going internal for both the arms and torso sections. In a Thor vs Loki fight, all the Thor needs to do is hit the Loki once with the ERPPC, and then blast it with LBX pellets to score a whole lot of critical hits.

The Prime seems a bit under powered, but sounds like a pretty good long range support mech, give it ECM or AMS to cement the support role.

Oh it is quite alright most of us clanners have resigned ourselves to the fact that the IS has no proper values when fighting and honor is something only upheld by our worthy foes in the DCMS...until they started to fight under Hohiro and Theodore...the original mechwarriors of the DCMS old guard died with honor, now the new DCMS can fight and die or fight and live but either way it it is a shameful shadow of its former glory.

Well they DMC was losing planets like crazy using the old method and didn't adapt to Elementals well.  They had to adapt or straight up lose.

Thor... also sounds like it was named by the Rasalhague (you know them being nordic stock and all :p)

It'll be interesting how they build variants for it when you consider they have similar builds between the MadCat and the Loki.  My only thought would be they're going to make have of a some what similar roll to the Thanatos, but doesn't have access to MRMs.  Could see this being more of a heavy jump platform.
