I'we actually did Thor model in 3dsmax based on some picture on DeviantArt. Tho its symmetrical :) .
How I know Summoner and Thor name for same mech, or is it Hellbringer, is that Loki ?
Same as Mad Cat or Timberwolf. Not sure anymore. Dont get it why there have to be more than 1 name for same mech... But I dont care really. Doesnt matter what is called like xD .

One of my favorite mechs from MW4 game.

tigerija - two names exist from some mechs (even 3 for others, eg. Vulture) cause one is the Name given to Mechs by Clans, and another is given to them by Inner Sphere forces who encountered units without knowing who they are.

Hellbringer is Clan name of Loki
Timberwolf is Clan name of Mad Cat
Summoner is Clan name of Thor
Mad Dog is Clan name of Vulture also known in Inner Sphere as Hagetaka.
Adder is Clan name of Puma

And until they say otherwise, that's the info I'm working with.

Otherwise.

Honestly you guys are going a little far with some of this stuff. We do not use fudge factors, we are completely internally consistent. This however does not make us CBT compliant, nor do we want it to. We borrow what we need, and we tweak things to fit the setting (a real time action game). People whining about things like the madcat need to move on. It simply doesn't work at its CBT speed without fudge factors like ferrofibrous and endosteel. We may go that route in the future, but if so it will be balanced out by cost as it will be a unique armor type. Things like a free ton of ammo for the weapons loaded on the mech simply make sense from a gameplay and design perspective.

Of course with all of the above comes the caveat that things are bound to change, and to be refined. We have plans to tweak a lot of things, variants will come and go, and by the time we provide an external "mechlab" things might be very different. This is exactly the reason we have not personally published data or methodology. We don't feel thats a good use of our time when we are still developing the game and the rules that define it.

Oh, oh, thank you for enlightening me.
I am no so much into battletech. But looks like you(devs) guyz are. Hardcore ones.
And I dont mean that in a ad way.
This actually means that you can provide 100% of what fans want.
Its really pain in the ass have to or want to make things so they retain their original concept, with being forced to change or adapt few things for this mod. I mean you can't have both. Fiction and the real deal. I admire to devs, all that unique and dedicated concept of meches. And how everyone here actually likes and supports what devs say(their ideas). That's a rare.

lol

Anyway, devs probbly got their list... How much model makers/animators your guyz got ? I see variants are updating quite slow, is it lack of 3D designers or its problem in code side ?

Not really actually. To become a dev you don't need any BT knowledge - you need though a skill in making things MWLL require (like C++ or Flash or 3D arts or 2D arts). If Dev team would be filtered only to people who know or care about BTU this mod would never be completed :) ;)
I for one don't consider myself any hardcore fan, but have read some BattleTech novels and several publications (+ got a huge pile of these yet to be read... no time though to do this all ~_~) so I guess I have bit more knowledge than average, though still far off from what eg. my unit-mate Heretic has.

This actually means that you can provide 100% of what fans want.
Rule nr.1 of game dev: You can never satisfy everyone. ;)

Too few. Too few.
MWLL team is always open to everyone having 3D skills or texturing skills... especially if it's combined with skill of creating animations in 3D Studio Max. <- if someone reading this has a skill see join the team board!
Adding code to support new unit isn't really a problem comparing to everything else.

Join teh club. it's quite time consuming and even harder with no one to ask questions of in real time.

I find rigging, animating and unwrapping quite amusing thing to do xD. Where unwrapping is usually really really boring thing to do to most designers.
Here in MWLL its tricky to animate a mech, not in a way of complexity but in a way how it will look like.
Do you want fancy or realistic animations.
Fancy ones will look better, more natural, but in reality it wont work. Coz if mech torso will bump up and down you wont be able to hit anything.

Who I can PM about animations ? How they work withing cryengine and what are the limitations.

Also, I hope we will get Thor withing 12 months spawn.
