well he did ask specifically with the direct to drive version :p  I wonder if it came with the 64 bit version of crysis, unlike steam.

I have a friend sending me his (old) copy of Warhead since he purchased a new copy of Crysis Maximum edition. I was forced to delete Steam since it is to me malware. It crashed on me over 2 weeks ago and I have been unable to connect to steam ever since. Two of my Clan Mates tried everything in their forums and I have been playing email tag with them (Steam) ever since. I sent them everything they asked for three times and the last time it took over a week to get a reply. I would suggest everyone either use another DL service or have legal hard copies of this game so you do not have to deal with the lousy customer service and buggy program. Since the game is already ported and running on Crysis wars, as soon as I get the discs and get them loaded I will be back up and ready to rock. Keep up the good work guys and I have really missed the action, see y'all soon hopefully.

Everyone who is able to should own a hard copy of game vs. the Steam version since a hard copy means you can do what you want with it, vs. doing what valve lets you do with it.

I'm not comfortable with the idea of buying hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a company, then handing that merchandise over to another company whose permission I need to look at what I bought. Valve owns your steam account everything on it - they can just delete your account and do not even have to give you a reason. Steam accounts are far more vulnerable than a hard copy of a disk and along with all of Steam's problems it's hardly worth the one-time convenience of installing without having to put a DVD in.

Are odds low that they'll delete your account? Very. But the point is that they *do* own all your keys and you own, literally, nothing.

thanks for info, it seems it should work okay on the D2D version. I guess I'll go ahead and buy it and download it so I can start playing on Crysis wars

Wait... steam crysis wars wont have a 64 bit? Don't tell me I have to order a hard copy..

I think wars does, but vanilla crysis on steam only came in 32 bit.

IIRC the only thing that was missing was the 64 bit .exe and you could just copy it from a disc install of Crysis.

Don't know though, never bothered and my copy of Warhead is a disc...
