I'm pumped for FO:NV. Don't expect me to be playing MWLL for at least the next 2 weeks.

So, is it bad or what?

Bad?  ???
Man, if it is only half as good as Fallout III - it is still among the top (action)RPGs that are out there. I spent whole nights in front of my screen. There were moments I lmao, and then again the tension and atomsphere...

I have this  (see below) still standing on my Desktop. Whenever I want to work concentrated I put or snick it away (kind of a ritual to handle my addiction).

Its a different team and this one feels more like operation anchorage, which I thought sucked. I loved FA3, but this ones kinda meh by comparison.

But its a different team that usually focus more on the story side then on making gameplay, no?
As awesome as I though Fallout 3 was (still miss elements from 1 and 2 though...) their main issue was the dialogues. They sucked bad I'm afraid and especially any speechcraft/intimidate/charm/etc options. So my hope is for a larger focus on the dialogue trees to bring it back a bit more to Fallout 2 level. Second thing I am hoping for is more home built stuff. In Fallout 3 all home built things where unique weapons with unique ammo. Would love to have more homebuilt versions that use standard ammunition as well.

I'm definitely eagerly anticipating this, but if it turns out to be mostly just an action game... then it wo't survive long with me. That is at least until the inevitable mods arrive and turn it back into something awesome  =)

i strongly recommend waiting with buying it till it gets patched, its quite buggy (aka a true obsidian game).

"Less than an hour in, I was staring at a guard, pacing back and forth to guard his post... 20 feet off the ground. Enemies clip into the ground with an alarming frequency, often making them impossible to shoot. The game--a retail disc running on a new-model Xbox 360--crashed on me about a dozen times over the 33 hours I spent playing, often taking a significant amount of progress with it. The load times and frame rate seemed to get randomly worse as I continued to play the game, with some simple scene transitions taking 20 seconds or more. The technical hurdles you'll have to make to stay interested in New Vegas are meaner and more frustrating than any Deathclaw or Nightkin you'll face in the game. If you're the type of person who likes to watch for a patch or two before settling into a game, know this now: you probably don't want to play Fallout: New Vegas right away."

Well I'm still buying it. PC gamer gave it an 84, Destructoid gave it a 9.0, So generally positive reviews. Rock Paper Shotgun didn't have a review so much as point out several bugs. While valid, pointing out bugs doesn't constitute a review. And not all reviews I read had major issues.

So, is it bad or what?

Snagged a review copy eh? Did you run into as many problems as the other reviewers? Considering how FO:NV is putting a whole lot more emphasis on dialogs and multiple endings, I find this surprising. How did the multiple ending thing work out?
