Yeah,t hat was a Quest thingie of F³, nowhere to be found in FNV.
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

No, my issue was with New Vegas. The mention in of fallout 3 was that I am fairly sure they have inherited a lot from that game and as such I imagine they might have happened upon the child-flag (possibly by mistake).

I am not entirely sure what you mean by "campier"?
Anyhow if you ever used Wanderers Edition mod to Fallout 3 then you will recognise many of the new features (if you go hardcore mode). It is a step in the right direction I think. I have to say I very much disagree with your way of the future though. As much as I love having science skill I want to keep the energy weapons to a select few. Its only a few of them that get the proper junk-yard feeling I think, and then again some that fit well with certain outfits. But over all I am more in favour of weapons that fire actual slugs of some sort. Totally agree with the stealth aspect though. Love being sneaky and getting sneak attack criticals (its about the only criticals my unluky character is bound to get with its amazing 1 in luck ^_^).

The fully repaired Gauss-Rifle is king for the times when you don't care if the whole mojave hears you kill something at range . .
the only weapon with more DPS's is the alien blaster, but you need wild wasteland for that and you need to get there and live to get it too.
and it's horribly close range only, so as soon as you run into something that keeps sniping you(yeah, i know, does not happen) you are toast.

I meant like, 'campy', u know, funny, goofy in a way, makes you smirk more often than grimace, like a 'bad' movie that you liked. (Evil Dead and such)
Yes you need that keen sense of style, but don't lose the humor that was great in the originals.  Fallout 3 was a little too serious, and when it tried to be funny, it just wasn't.  Nitpicking, i know, fun games nonetheless.  I can't really think of anything that made my LOL, if you will,  from Fallout 3.  New Vegas looks and sounds more fun and funny.   I'm sure i'll find out soon enough.

Yeah, my first playthrough was Chinese Assault Rifles and Explosives, i really like how you can 'roleplay' based on your skills in these new Fallout games.
My latest run was named Spock, heavily influenced by Howard Hughes, hence; it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the future...(mutters)  it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the future... it's the wave of the........
(You'd get it if you've seen the Aviator)
well

Have fun out there kids...

Well, the game is really fun, and the size of universe in it is great. So far I went quite far in Mr. House quests, thought got a warning from NCR and Legion, so I gave it up for a moment and went in NCR-related quests. I'm also trying to get into BoS bunker now by reading the manual of what to do with this floating orb droid in order to pass through it's quest. I could use some better armor and I guess they'll have something out there to offer ^^... if I won't get killed first :P
For now though I avoid any other tutorials/solutions, want to enjoy the game a little bit in a breaks between deving stuff. :) ;)

Getting into the BOS is much easier, once you have one of the ridiculous followers around . . but at least she's good looking and funny . .
Veronica is her name, can be found in junktion 188 or however it's called. if you have the eye robot around, that's okay.
If you have boone allready? you have to chose.

yea, meanwhile I got Boone, I passed whole storyline of BoS, bought T-51b power armor, and Gauss - that's awesome weapon. I went to this... Quary junction, or however you spell that - Killed all Deathclaws there, including Death Claw mother with two shots  8) I also got Raul, this Mechanic, and some crazy plasma pistol from REPCONN HQ which helped me to pass through Black Mountain quest unharmed (ok, I got few hits from bumper sword, but nothing dangerous ;) ) before I got gauss available. Now I'm traveling across desert exploring :) fun too. Only this gauss eats ammo like hell, and I don't have cash to repair it... yet. ;)

Yah, the gauss is the ultimate long arm.
over 400DPS and reach and a scope!
only STRONGER energy weapon is the alien blaster with DPS over 500, but shit for reach and spread like a shotgun . .
