Where To Download?
« on: October 27, 2010, 02:41:20 PM »
Hey. Yeah ... typical noob question.
But I'm confused. I go on main page and go to download page there and it gives me so many versions. 3.0.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2, different packages and all sort of things. I don't know what to download, since if I download 3.0.0 it might not work with the rest, plus when I do click on it nothing even happens.

So really help me, the retarded noob, out.

Thanks you in advance.

Actually you'll need all 0.3.0, 0.3.1 and 0.3.2, so for a start you should download them all. BTW, I think your "nothing happens" problem is caused by you not pressing a download button right next to selection combo box(BTW, devs should really change that button's design as it's not very obvious):

After that, read MWLL installation guide to see how to install 0.3.0(make sure you'll have Crysis updated to 1.21 before installing MWLL). With that done, install update 0.3.1 and 0.3.2, in that order. If you'll do everything right, you'll be having MWLL up and running in no time. Good luck!

This article should get updated too to ensure people get updated to the latest version. E.g. mention that sometimes the autoupdater wont work and you have to grab the ZIP file instead.

Thanks a lot both of you. It really helped me :)

P.S.1.
I need just original Crysis right? Not Warhead? Or both? And with 4.0.0, will I need both or it still won't matter? Ty

P.S.2-
Does each Faction/Side have it's own mechs now? As when I played a year ago it still didn't? :) Ty

P.S.3.
Can we already build our own mechs from scratch? Ty

No IS vs Clan mode yet

No.

Well I meant as IS and Clan have different mechs but for now they use the same ones (Clan's if Im correct). Any plans when they'll implant the others?
So there's still no Mech optimization? You just buy, hope in and destroy shlt? :)
"and to get to the other side."? ... What? :P

To put this straight:

sv_is_vs_clan with 0.4.0 will allow for IS vs Clan, IS vs IS, and Clan vs Clan with the new argument set

MWLL 0.3.2 does support IS vs Clan. We extended that for 0.4.0.

"and to get to the other side."? ... What? :P

Ty

each side has access to the same machines on most servers.

sv_is_vs_clan is a server command which creates a puretech server limiting each side to their respective machines, see Seraph's post for more info regarding this command and MWLL 0.4.

No, there is no mechlab yet.

"to get to the other side" is why the chicken crossed the road. An attempt to be humorous via the list of responses.

Don't be afraid to ask in-game! People usually are very helpful when it comes to introducing new players to the basics.

Yup, there's a few units in the game currently who are actively seeking members and participating in the Legends Arena team leagues. Beta season 1 is coming to it's finale soon, and winners will be decided by next month.

Feel free to check out some of the match videos from the forbidden chaos youtube channel here.

Also, if your interested in unit play, once you get yourself accustomed to the game, I'm sure some people would be interested in having a look at you =)
