You can't mix DDR1 with DDR2 memories as far as I know - even if you have Motherboard that had slots of two types - it's limited to support of only one type at a time (it picks newer generation if you'll plug both, so you'll have 1GB DDR2, or popups BIOS error message, or it asks you to pick preferred setup). But I don't know much about it - I never tried mixing different types like that. Only know this thanks to reading some MoBo manuals. ::)

Blah. 1GB of DDR2 is worse that 2GB DDR1 :P
Well i have a 20€ (soon to be 40€) discount in a PC store and discount does last till the new year, so there is a certain possibility that I'll buy 4GB of DDR2 800Hz RAM or a new PC (but I doubt I'll get 700€ till the end of the year and that soon has to happen till the end of November).
..., but this is battletech, and sense is often not made.
