You CAN destroy fences with collision... Hell being in spectator mode and running into a fences at a good speed on marshes will knock it down... Been waiting to play ghost with some players sometime haha.

Hehe, did that yesterday on Mirage. There was a team near the fences and kept staring at them while they fell down, probably thinking "WTF?".

MWLL always felt like a game from another era. From the golden age of PC games

Yes, at good speed you can, but a 70 ton Warhammer shouldn't need good speed to crush those things under its feet. That's the problem I have is accidentally accelerating into them from a stop and not being able to tell why my Warhammer can't move when it appears to be clear terrain ahead of me (can't look down far enough to see fences if you are right on them).

First thing i allways do on certain maps:
Take some tank with MG's/AC's and tear down all the fences around my own base . .
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

But seriously is it that hard to believe that chain link could tie a Mech up like it does

Yes, it's utterly ludicrous.

A chain-link fence won't stop a sub 1 ton sedan, and a half dozen people can pull one down bare handed. A light mech would knock it down without the pilot even knowing it was there.

Who needs base turrets, just use fences.....
But base turrets do not shoot friendlies. Fences would not make that difference. :(

I've been killed by my own base turrets.

Fight as BA. Jump into stream fire path as turrets fire on hostile target.

/Merf - BA go splat in the face of baseturrets

Aye =)
But sometimes it can be rather ambiguous. Say you are a BA jump jetting at 45 degree angle near the end of your arc an enemy appears and turrets start firing right to your side, your jump jet juice is all out and you go sailing helplessly into the fire path of the turret.

/Merf - Is thinking this is fairly rare though.

Yarh shit happens in the heat of battle. Could also be a "friendly" taking up position behind you and firing straight into your back torso :( just to waddle a little away and look away when you look back :'(
