Excellent guide! I added some links here and there and put it in the guides category so that people could find it more easily.

Great work, will help people introduce themselves into MWLL more easily. :)

Good guide.
I use the Mauler C, too, from time to time. It is just incredible how much damage and heat it can inflict at close range.  I tend to spray the flamers all the time because they do not create any (or not much) heat on myself, but if they hit they will probably shut down the enemy mech.

Speaking of guides, I think wiki needs more attention from new players. Maybe a bigger link/banner of sort on the front page with something like "read this to know how to play", leading to wiki guides section. Many people miss wiki guides entirely because they don't know they are there.

read this to know how to play, huh? ;)
Yea, that's certainly a good point. I'll look into making some banner or something alike on the main page.
But still though wiki could use some guides to make it cover the topics players would like to find. One such article is Heat Management which should be based on heat article, though cover the actual combat situations more than give raw data as well as provide hints to units, which are most difficult and which are the easiest to manage. Another - Electronic Warfare to cover all the GECM/BAP/Radar stuff as well as NARCs TAGs, LRM boating, C3 and teamwork related to electronics.
There's more things missing there than one would thought. :)

This guide is right on. I followed this guide today. Manny different mechs tried their luck against the "Funslinger" as I now call it. If a mech has an O'Sh17 face, I've seen it. Surprise is the key to this variant, for sure. It helps to tail about 500m behind a light mech. When the light takes fire and someone gives chase, they won't know you are right there to scrape them off. It's like fishing. Only, way more fun.

Whoever tries this - you have my blessing. I can help with all the wiki formatting and stuff, as long as you can write up a nice article :)

You should see kit in the REDACTED... it's almost as scary as when he REDACTED in a REDACTED. Seriously.
