I just played my worst/best game in a while.

FOR  me it was my worst. DId it all wrong, tried to play and talk with my wife at same time. Did a domestic chore for 50 seconds , was gonna sell back my mechs so let it go auto pilot towards base while i did that, only to come back with the Out of bounds warning expiring. !!
Let the other teams gaytom piss me off< only happens when the enemy is up 1000 and starts lobbing those damn things>. COuldnt handle BA on several occasions, so instead of just running, got my ass kicked, and the kicker was engaging a bushy with puma prime, had em dead to rights and pulled a classic move, hit eject by accident. Managed  to actually launch two missles and scamper back to my mech but was promptly head shot...
sigh.

So while we wait, lets hear em, good n bad.
btw, after reading the post by the devs today concerning particles, turned em up on high, Nice diff with really no performance hit at all.

Yeah, yesterday, I couldn't get anything going on that crystal cave map.

1) At first I was in an Uller B (UAC10 one) in a team rush.  I was damaged critically within a few seconds of seeing enemies.  So I scampered back to base with my mates.  Unfortunately, my engine was damaged and I ran at 54kph, so I couldn't keep up with my team.  But surely I was fast enough to get away from the enemy. NOPE. Within 400m of my base, the Dual MRM40 Catapult that I though was no longer chasing me caught up (800m from me), the first missile that hit my back asploded me.

2) Same map, I had grabbed the UAC20+quad flamer Hollander. Spent a good 10minutes trying to get this BA from behind a rock.  I had continuously fired my Flamers at the BA who kept jumping out from behind the rock and hitting me.  I don't know why I couldn't hit him with my flamers.... he was in point blank range.... I don't get flamers...
I get gauss'd in the back and I am damaged so I disembark back to base at top speed.  BLAM!! BA hits me with his 2 SRMs and I die.

Just to clarify: Currently all settings for particles will play the "High" quality ones (MWLL 0.3.2). So even if you set your profile to low or medium, the particles will stay the same. Even when setting them to High. Some particles on the maps were already optimized but those are only a few and can be counted on one hand. Wait for MWLL 0.4.0 to really check out the new particle system.

Sadly I can't really add a story - hopefully with 0.4.0 I will!

Anytime I join a Marshes or Thunderrift match that has been going on for 10-15+ minutes. Those two maps are hard to get caught up when your in tier 1 lights when others are in mediums or heavies.

Usually can slip by a with a Raven Prime, but not always, especially if the other team suspects a LT or Catapult on your side.

really? wow, Must be because i just went back up to 1650x1080 reso.  I was specifically noticing the "heat wave" after srm ba impact and what I thought were improvements in the way mech cockpits looked.
just goes to show you, this mod has some serious eye candy and I dont understand computers all that much LOL

Its not a very highbrow term , but the tactic of using a longtom , when your team is substantially winning, is as cheesy as velveta.
maybe I could call it the "long summers eve" or I dont know what , but man its reprehensible....

Flamers are very iffy. When you first press the trigger, it'll fire out a bolt (which does the damage), then it stops while the particle effects play; after about a second the bolt firing picks up again and it starts to do the damage/heat. If you run sideways in a mech mounting flamers and fire them at the ground, you can see how the flamers work by watching when you see a small flame explosion on the ground.

When fighting BA with flamers, start hosing them down when they're in the air then aim down and watch them land right into your crosshair.

Had a particularly crappy round last night on Thunder rift.
Most of the fighting was focussed on the bridge and I must have fallen off that damn thing every single enagagement, usually agonisingly close to finishing off an enemy mech before plunging into the dark inky abyssal waters below

My god, nothing more rage inducing than stumbling around in the dark with 5 other mechs trying to shoot at murky outlines and targetting boxes while some blasted owens pounds you with SRMs.

you know what's even funnier, when the glowy weapons is the only thing you can use to find the enemy cause they all have ECM and go passive >_<
