I tried a few matches in WoT, then promptly uninstalled it.  I prefer walking death machines to slow crawling death traps.  (Except the Demolisher, there's still a place in my heart for that tank)

lol. WoT has a steep learning curve. The first 4-6 hours are really hell. But as soon u reached Tier 5 tanks and you understood how the game works... hell of addictive. But if you are not able to teamplay... -> forget this game. And it doesn't forgive and mistakes you do in battle. One mistake -> dead.

And on-top of that the view system is extremely bugged and you quite often get destroyed by invisible tanks that are ~100m from you.

Sounds like Mirage.  8)

/Merf - Thinks it feels good to know others are struggling with the same kind of problem.

Maybe that bugged and invisble tank has simply a camo net and a crew with secondary skill camouflage and standing in a bush while your commanders skill is crap?^^

But yes, last patch brought a bug in (which will be fixed with next -> check released changelog) where 'ordinary' tanks get the tankdestroyer hiding bonus.

WoT is a ok game, but god is parts of it broken.
The matchmaking system is out of control, but being somewhat altered in the next patch.
The best Russian tank is getting buffed for "historical reasons" way to go Russian devs ! (overall the Russian tanks are better then the German and American ones making the tournament country battles quite unbalanced, add to the fact that the Russians have a tier higher arty then the others).
With the only game mode being a messed up capture the enemy base most games ends up being matches where you camp in a bush/behind a building for 8-12 minutes.
And on-top of that the view system is extremely bugged and you quite often get destroyed by invisible tanks that are ~100m from you.

After playing it for 3 weeks now i am not even bothered by campers in mwll, as their nothing compared to WoT in its current state.
I'v seen several matches end in draws because the majority of the players in the mach didn't move even 400m from the starting areas.

They have got alot left to fix before they go live with this game.

It's not for everybody and it quickly degrades into TANK COMBAT and TANK TACTICS which does preclude any "brawling" desires that a mechwarrior would have. Exposing yourself is quaranteed instant death, being new to the game is quaranteed instant death but as experience is gained and crews trained and assetts upgraded it becomes apparent that the best tactic - call it camping if you wish wins most of the battles, but heh as I said it ain't for everybody. I agree with Capper that huge player base is probably due to system requirements. I've only been on 3 nights so far but haven't fallen through a map yet or CDT but I'm sure that's coming soon - just have to spend the time in game to experience it.

If you are impatient or if you want a bonus tank as starter get a key there.

MMOHUT will give you a key; NOW and if you already have an account set up at WoT paste the key and start playing. Let us know what your game name will be and we can befriend you (add to contacts) and invite you to a platoon which will double your credits and XP allowing you to level up faster.
It's a fun game and very fast paced.

6 make that 9 hours remaining

...

hey wait a second, what's the memory requirement for this thing? XD
Well my awesome IBM laptop runs some 3d games (mostly OpenGL) fine on high settings, so it should run this on low.
Are we here yet?

I fully recommend this game, it is a fine balance between realistic tank combat and a quick in out arcade style gameplay. It totaly encourages REAL tank warfare tactics that are tried and true.

Yes you will start out slow and weak but thats because you are a tier 1 tank you will get more powerfull. Also just upgrade to a faster lighter gun and a bigger engine if you want more brawling style combat.Tanks like this rock the urban maps/areas.

Hell i got my lechttracktor pimped out and it hauled ass with a light cannon.(34 kph pumping lead into slower tanks engines from behind)

Also advice for those just starting out , upgrade your engine ASAP it will get you the horsepower you need/want to move faster.

My ingame name is the same as here Pentence
