What to do when someone calls u a cheater

So i had this rather interesting match on Thunder Rift today, and i scored my best score yet (22-8). The problem was someone in the other team started calling me a cheater after i killed him three times near his apc with the heavy laser. Others joined in and they started saying something like "you guys better be sure about this before i report him". Now i have no idea who he would be reporting me to, but i have never cheat in a multiplayer game in my life, as i find people who do this immature and stupid. My ego is far too smart to take pleasure from such a thing.

The thing is, i was playing with my homeboy on skype and we were doing some very coordinated actions, mostly in BA, and i got most of the kills. I had 200 ping and that was the main reason the guy in the other team was pissed, said its not possible to hit a BA in midair on 200 ping. I think crysis has some wierd hit detection system, because i never have to lead the target with my shots to hit, like in the old days of Quake 2 where i had to aim where the target is going to be in, say, 0.2 seconds. I have been playing FPS games for a long time now and i have no problem hitting moving targets while im also moving, and i hope that i will not be banned or something just because i had a large killstreak for the first time.

I was thinking if there was any way for me to prove im not cheating? if they observe me i think they could clearly see my laser is not hitting 100% of the time, which is what a hack would do i suppose.

Take it as a compliment.
22-8 is not even Snowball-esque K:D ratio.

And high scores are not out of the ordinary if your enemy is fielding lots of BAs.

Hitting other BA midair with your own BA weaponry is perfectly possible, its not even hard if you practice enough(even at a 200 ping). I played Tribes a lot back when it was new, and hitting another player midair with a disc launcher felt like 2 times harder then hitting them with a mPPC in MWLL, and even there it was possible.
Hitting with lasers is even easier, I'm not even sure if lasers are hindered by a high ping.

Just like Nitro said, take it as a compliment.
I usually just laugh when people call me a cheater for stupid reasons, in 50% its just a misunderstanding and in the other 50% someone is just angry because he was outclassed.

 Don't worry, mate. It takes more just spoken claim to ban anyone for cheating on TLL servers. As for such people, the best thing to do is reply to them "I don't cheat, you just suck " or better ignore them altogether.

Welcome to the club. I've been called a cheater for my situational awareness lol. Someone on Marshes called me a cheater because he came over the hill passive and took a face full of SSRMs.

Apparently seeing someone run behind a dropship and approximating where they will turn out is cheating (with help from BHP too...)

I once got called a cheater when me in a Gauss Uller and a Gauss Vulture standing 4m beside me cored some Osiris B in a single salvo.

He did not notice the Vulture (that is about 150% the size of a Uller) and thought that I oneshotted him.

dont worry Spike i was on that server and was tellin them in team chat that you where not hackin and the guy that wanted to report you was satisfied ( i think ), as i said to them you where just playin a smart game even if you where a pain in the arse and if they where silly enuff to keep goin down that way thats their fault

I would not worry Spike (you will have to forgive me if I simplify your nickname a bit). I bet someone just needed to explain away its own incompetence and/or failure at accepting others are better then them. Had it happen to me as well. Was on Thunderrifts and the other team had some chatty individual who liked playing BA. He was rather obvious in his pattern and after haing sniped him from max PPC range with my Adder a few times too many he (I am quite sure it was a he. They usually are...) started with the cheating accusations. I was lucky having others on both teams informing him of the simple fact he was being outplayed.

Seems to be fairly common during accusations like these that someone demand someone else show they are not guilty, when in fact proper procedure would say that the one accusing should bring proof of his/her accusation. Consider yourself innocent until proven otherwise.

Also a general notice; if one suspect someone else to be cheating, do not go blurting it out without having something to support yourself. Much better to gather evidence in the quiet and ask questions that do not explicitly state "Are you cheating?". Just ask how it managed this or that and make it in a format as if you are trying to learn. Might let you get at some inconsistencies.

he was in a Uller and got I don't know how many direct cockpit hits by Hgauss and PPCs and extremely much LRMs
That was too obvios godmode^^
Especially when he got hit by 2 Flamers of HollaenderIIs while he was in BA^^

What you do when someone accuses you of cheating is track down and make that one person's life hell until they ragequit in tears.

Especially in MWLL. What the hell are you going to cheat with? A wallhack? It's called radar. An aimbot? You're shooting things the size of houses.

Eh? You really see no room for cheating?
Lets say you had full radar and targeting information out to max range of 1500m. Say every shot your fired with the notoriously tricky ACs always hit the same section. Say you took half damage from everything? Say your weapons dealt x1.5 damage. Say your got Khan starting money as Cadet.

I do hope the MWLL cheat protection make all of these impossible (or rather very hard. There is rarely anything impossible) but I can definitely see the room for cheats to improve on someone's results. The results would of course be totally meaningless, but a cheater seldom cares. They seem motivated by making others frustrated.

I've seen a cheater in game. NO BA can outrun the 020 masc Osiris. Not only was this BA outrunning me, but he was firing weapons instantly. PPCSRMPPCSRMLASERPPCSRMPPCSRM OH MY. He also warped around wickedly (think 400 ping aero at long distance) while he was 200m in front of you. Except now he's behind you blowing your 'Mech to pieces in 2-3 seconds.
