The Epona looks really nice. I can't wait to try one out for myself.

Because all their variants are based off the CBT ones.

Quote
Alt. Config. A - The second most popular configuration of the Epona carries a pair of LRM-20s in its turret. Four tons of ammunition keeps the Epona in supply through most Trials. To supplement this support variant, the A mounts paired ER Medium Lasers in the front. Next to those lasers is a TAG that enables the Epona A to call in heavy artillery support. BV (1.0) = 1,741[1], BV (2.0) = 1,976[3]

Alt. Config. B - Meant for use in open terrain, the Epona B carries a large gun in the form of an Ultra Autocannon/10 that is in the turret. It is supplemented by two Streak SRM-4s in the vehicle's front that can exploit any holes that the autocannon makes in an enemy's armor. BV (1.0) = 1,022[1], BV (2.0) = 1,255[4]

Alt. Config. C - The Epona C is a mix between a cavalry, spotter, and fire support vehicle. The turret carries both an ER PPC that is useful at all ranges and a Streak SRM-6 that the gunner can fire with no fear of wasting ammunition. This variant also mounts a TAG, but in addition, makes use of an ECM Suite to protect it from enemy electronics. BV (1.0) = 1,322[1], BV (2.0) = 1,563[5]

Basically, the GECM allows you to stay on active radar at long range so you can keep tabs on enemy units.
And the brawler don't need to keep tabs on nearby enemies so they don't go right into an ambush?
I wonder why the LRMs were downed to 15s, and the Streaks downed by half in launcher number, and two in missile number. Too powerful?

Even if all the variants come from cbt i hope that the devs can at least consider adding gecm to the prime and the B variants, i just dont want them to end up as the harasser D and E (only harrasers without gecm i believe) who has a hard time trying to get close to the enemy unnoticed due to being spotted when they are 500m+ away from their targets.

Oh well, only testing them out will see if this will be a problem or not, but in my opinion the gecm is a huge advantage when trying to brawl and lightly armoured brawlers need all the advantages they can get, at least compared to the long range assets who can fight so far away that they can retreat at a moments notice even without gecm.

Well, consider that we don't want every mech out there with GECM, otherwise it'd just be... a GECM fest. Seeing as the prime and B variants aren't true brawlers (unlike some rapefist mechs/vehicles), and are hovercrafts, which by necessity are lightly armoured, I'd say the prime and B variants should be used by taking advantage of their speed for hit and run attacks, long range circle strafing, and cover hopping. I would not take the Epona into a straight up fight, but would rather hang back and hope nobody targets me. Instead of sticking GECM onto two variants, you'd just go passive instead.

The other place you see GECM is on scouts and snipers. Namely, the Raven, Harasser, and the Mad Dog. These guys want to stay out of the fight at all costs, but have enough spare "tonnage" or "win points" to warrant getting electronic packages.

You're also going to have additional armor.  The Harasser only has 25% the armor of an Epona( if the armor values are translated according to sarna).

if these armor values are  what were getting ,and if its available at the beginning of the match or is like 55kcbils then we  will def have some fun armor running around.
love the prime and c version.
tje c would be a fantastic asset to start out with as a late joiner to a pub match

4 times the armor with nearly the speed will make this a powerful brawler. Harasser already works well even with it's paper armor since it dodges most enemy fire just from sheer speed.

The main problem with the harasser is that sometimes it will decide to start doing a wheelie that will eventually flip you if you keep moving forward. The only cure to this is to stop cold and let the nose come down, but that makes you an easy alpha kill for anyone you've pissed off.

If the Epona isn't that much bigger in model size and doesn't suffer from random wheelies, it'll actually be a powerful skirmish craft.

Clans are getting a lot of new vehicles. This, plus the Hephaestus, and the Morrigu. It'll be interesting to see how the Epona differs from the Hephaestus ingame.

I wonder if the inner sphere will be getting any new stuff other than the Ares. It seems to me like they'll be needing a decent hovertank now.

I hope so. It takes up way too much space on screen. Not a fan of it at all.
