I did play some Runes of Magic some time ago. Even got to lvl 55/55 with my Priest/Warrior. But it became boring at some point. I'm glad I never touch Wolrd Of PayCraft, as I do not want to pay on a regular basis. I'm not into this "RPG", especially as there is no roleplaying at all in those games. Just leveling and skills.

I prefer aiming and shooting manually though. This is why I came back to my trusted FPS.

ah World of Warcraft, I played that from vanilla up to WotLK. But then I realized it had become a very different game, went from being a a great lore-based game where epic gear was hard-earned and truly epic to a game that gave up on any and all lore, gave out epic gear like candy, while any decent gear had to be won by doing countless extremely difficult raids. Not that I am against challenges, but trying to get 25 people organized and attentive is just the biggest pain.

Back in day with 40-man raids it rarely mattered if one or two people were total screw-ups because there was others to cover for them. Maybe I am just nostalgic, but I miss the old WoW. I may give Cata a try for a month just to see the zones redone and the new graphics, but I'll never be able to enjoy WoW again because it just isnt the same  :'(

truth

Pretty much the same, although I stopped before WotLK came out. >_>

Btw, I hope you do realize, that raiding takes a bit more than 2 people who are 80+ ;)

What do you think I am an idiot? Why do you think I was asking if any one wanted to...... We are looking for more people and just asking in general chat or trade of LFG chat in game is like asking a bunch of immature 14 year old's. All you get is crap and more crap.

$14.99 a month is a lot and I do with they would take it down to $10 but that will never happen, but look at it this way, You get good tech support, plus the game get updated like every week or day, improved graphics and so on. WoW has change since Cata came out.

No it hasn't. A new paint job does not change the underlying fact that the game HAS NOT changed in any signifigant way since launch. Well other than getting easier and less balanced every patch.

Deathknights. You don't have to be playing Cataclysm to realise that WoW is getting easier, and less balanced. MLG has dropped WoW from their game tournament. Wolf is right.

Just wait until the raiding starts, then you'll find a bunch of bugs, 1-3 classes will do WAY TOO MUCH dps, and 1-2 tanks/healers will WAY outclass the others, and it'll be back to business as usual.

There's a common misconception that MMO's in general are getting easier. But 'easier' is a term thrown around to describe a multitude of things. For example, its said WotLK was easier then Vanilla WoW.

The hardest part of Molten Core was getting 25 people (yes I know it was a 40 man instance, this is my point), to come along and stay awake. There was no concept of a DPS rotation, it was there, but no tank could hold that threat, they weren't designed for it back then. Rogues backstabbed, Mages frostbolted, Hunters auto attacked, Warlocks shadowbolted, a class that could heal healed, and Warriors tanked. And that was it.

Back then a friend of mine and myself played hunters and during a raid we'd autoattack and then play Soulcaliber or Smash Bros.

To say everyone is running around in purples is true, it is easier to get purples, but its just an item color. This would NOT be an argument if all gear had white text. Yeah you can get into ICC by doing 5 mans. So what? Doesn't mean you're gonna clear the place. You still gotta grind out the heroics for tokens. How is that different then putting old school raids on farm? Oh you don't need 40 people to do it now.

That doesn't make it easier. Unless you think Autoattacking, Frostbolting, and Backstabbing a boss with 26 DPS is hard. Or is it getting 40 together that is the hard part?

Now that we can argue about. What makes the challenge? The encounter, or the organization before it? Well here's my opinion. World of Warcraft while based on Warcraft is not a RTS. You want organizational challenge, play Warcraft. The encounter should be the hard part. That is the direction WoW, EQ2, and others are heading.

And it shouldn't be an annoying 'hard' either. Requiring a raidwide cure curse 6 times a minute with the spell being on a minute cooldown and the curse instagibs whomever its on if not cured in 4 seconds isn't hard. Its annoying (looking at EQ2 here).

Tactical position and DPS/Tank Rotation and Healing Priorities is where the challenges should be. Not being "Hey.. do we have 8 healers on tonight?" If you ask me, Tank/Healer/DPS should go to the wayside and be replaced by DPS/Support with each class being able to do either depending on spec. Put more focus on tactics in that case.

But WoW hasn't gotten easier. Blizzard just doesn't know how to color the text on the equipment. If they made Pre-Naxx gear White, Naxx gear Green, Ulduar gear Blue, and Crusader Coliseum gear Purple with all the same stats and item level, you wouldn't see people bitching that gear is easy to get. For example:
Became like this:
Same stats, but the bitching about items being too easy to get would cease. I would dare people would bitch that its too hard to get purples.

I am well aware of the changes to the paint Blizz makes, but that does not change that wow is the same game it was when I started playing. I cleared all the raid content, and have the toons to prove it. The point is that the game is tired, and sheep continue to waste money on that machine.

Recolouring that Claymore means nothing when you don't adjust the stats to reflect a MASSIVE drop in available ilvl vs quality to spend on item budget. All that does is draw a parallel to the first 1-2 days of Burning Crusade, when the massive gear reset took place, putting casuals on the same gear level as raiders. This advantage disappeared when said casuals were stuck in Kara, hoping for lucky infernal drops on the Prince, meanwhile the raiders were farming Magtheridon and Gruul, getting more Dragonspine Trophies for their melee dps, waiting for SSC to unlock.

Then to narrow the gap again, Blizzard introduced further tiers of badge gear, and craftables. Stormherald anyone? You could have that monstrosity by paying a guild that was clearing SSC on alt runs to masterloot you the orb things you needed to craft it, then pick up BT/Sunwell ilvl gear by farming Kara yet again.

This has continued in WotLK. You think it's hard? Let me just farm ilvl200 HEROICS to get enough badges to not only walk into ICC, but down bosses without being an excellent player. Unless this system of dumbing down disappears in Cataclysm,  you can look forwards to having gear permanently at second best, while only being able to down entry level content. It'd be like having the gear to kill Arthas on 25 man, without being able to kill KT in Naxx. In other words, a sad joke.

This happend..... I was in a PUG 25 Naxx with almost all ICC geared people, and we wiped on KT because retards don't know how to spread properly in melee, ice blocking the MT, and OT that stood there trying to out threat the MT rather than pick up the adds.......

The general wow community is a nearly all bad, and the ones that think they play well, are the worst of them all because they lack the mental capacity to accept that they are doing it wrong. If I have 15,000 dps, and you have 6000 and we are in teh some HM ICC gear.... how am I the idiot? (true story)

fapp that game. Never again. I wish I could sue bliz for those 5 years of my life.
