So dragula doesnt feel like the bad guy here, I will say WoW can still be fun. I know for me playing with my brother and sister-in-law who live in another state was always a lot of fun. We had a tank, healer, and dps so we would just grab two pubbers and go to town. It was a great time we spent together and WoW gave us a great medium to have fun together.

Even though WoW has messed up a lot, it still holds good things for those who are lucky enough to have decent players to explore them with. Unfortunately the community of WoW has fallen fall and away from its former self. In my time playing WoW, I was also lucky enough to be found by an amazing guild that was just filled with great people and that really made the game for me. Yeah, the gear and such was great, but if I had to play with jerks and idiots to get it then it wasn't worth it. But when you win the gear and you have a whole raid celebrating with you and everyone sends you "congratz!!!!!" tells it feels great.

/Griffin-Wishes everyone who played online gaming was decent, fun, and relaxed. Would make for a better gaming world no doubt.

I played when it first came out and had all my friends playing, I think we burned out before any expansions were released.

The final straw for me was me and best friend just when fishing all the time and talked about our day IN GAME.  people would ask use to raid or quest and what not and all we would do is fish.  That's when we decided that we were through with the game.

I had a tri spec'd priest with a rich back story and ended up with moon cloth robes, was the high clothes that you could make back then (it was one of my skills) and cool looking hammer and book and a cool looking cowboy looking hat.  He looked awesome and different than all the other priest running around in the same gear.

Snap, it just wasn't fun anymore.

It'd be like having the gear to kill Arthas on 25 man, without being able to kill KT in Naxx. In other words, a sad joke.

This happend..... I was in a PUG 25 Naxx with almost all ICC geared people, and we wiped on KT because retards don't know how to spread properly in melee, ice blocking the MT, and OT that stood there trying to out threat the MT rather than pick up the adds.......

The general wow community is a nearly all bad, and the ones that think they play well, are the worst of them all because they lack the mental capacity to accept that they are doing it wrong. If I have 15,000 dps, and you have 6000 and we are in teh some HM ICC gear.... how am I the idiot? (true story)

fapp that game. Never again. I wish I could sue bliz for those 5 years of my life.

How is the community Blizzard's fault? Its the MMO community on a whole. Believe me, WoW's is tame compared to EQ2s. Those are some spiteful people. At least some good things come out of WoW like Tankspot, Wowhead, Wowpedia, and WoWwiki for information. Try to get a raid strat on EQ2 and you get shat on. Try to get lore and the RPers turn their noses up at you.

We're kinda spoiled with the community we have here on MWLL. Everyone's more or less respectful, even if we bump heads now and then, but its no worse then how friends and family are.

ICC was a sort of fluke. Arthas was integral to the FT story and they wanted everyone to be able to experience him. This is why it was dumbed down. Or was it? I watched my friends down most of ICC in one sitting and was amazed how fast shit was dying. It never died that fast when I first did it (around when it was first released). But then I saw the King Wrynn's buff of 30% HP and DPS.

Yeah.. tell the King/Warchief to go away and then see how many bosses the newbs can do. They might get to Saurfang, but they won't down him, I guarantee that. But like I said, its a fluke, Blizz wants everyone to get a shot in at Arthas, and thats fine. The expansion was winding down and it was a special case.

I doubt Cataclysm will be the same. They are only raising the cap to 85 and focusing the content on endgame instead of leveling. Most of WotLK was 70-80 content. They will not be making that mistake again.

Is it not funny how this game brings out the best and worst in a lot of people.  Just look at the responses here.  I have to admit I was very VERY tempted to give WoW another go round but in the end I decided 14.99/month was not worth it just to get my WoW fix and then be done with it. I am to casual with that game to get my money's worth

In short in matters battle armor, aerospace and omnimech
I am the very model of a rabid fan of Battletech
