i actually used that 1st one as a reference drawing to get the proportions right. the feet just look wrong in those pictures. when the mech would run, it would constantly be tipping inward making it very, very rough. i balanced the toes out and added pivots to help correct that.
Work on the texture is coming along. god i hate unwraping though. i need to find a quicker way to texture things. for a high poly model i would just export to zbrush and paint everything i wanted on then export that texture and photoshop it. the problem is that zbrush subdivides everything and you need to export from zbrush to get the texture coords.
