It depends on where the fight is taken. It doesn't need to be a long range stand-off, the clan-side plateau is easily invaded via the right side and it provides enough terrain features to block off LRMs.

Yeah, this map is perfect in terms of the way terrain compliments combat.  There isn't a lot of hard cover, but the contours of the open plains give plenty of wiggle room for a fast mover looking to avoid long-range direct-fire.

Extra special thanks to Salvatoris!
Thanks for the view.

A TC version of it and Urban Jungle would work really well :)

Palisades is currently in the NBT-MWLL 0.4.3 Mix Maps map rotation.

Stay tuned for more MWLL Community Created Maps.

I'd play on it but I get a whopping 180-200 ping to that server, the highest of any.

UK. I ping 140-150 using the command prompt, a bit higher in-game. I get 140 in-game to the TLL US-TX server. NBT one just seems worse more often than not.

Understandable, signal propagation delay.

100 to 120 mS across trans-Atlantic fiber to USA East Coast

20 to 50 mS delay from USA East Coast to Texas

I believe the TLL box in Texas is the same game host as the NBT-MWLL Mix Map server. The NBT-MWLL Mix Map server is a Xeon E 5420.

This is my wish for Bill Gates. He takes some bucks from the Gates Foundation, builds an island in the atlantic, and plops a great huge datacenter/cloud on it, and splits the signal propogation dealy in half for North America and Europe.

He can do it !!!  ;)

That's funny... I am also in Texas and get <100ms for the TLL box, but my ping is almost always 120~140 to the NBT server...

I too have been itching to try Palisades and return to some of the old TSA maps  :-\

i don't really care about ping, as long as it's less than 500.
i grew up playing quake3 and UT1 on 56k with pings of 1000 to 2000 . .

bty, Aidan?
That picture in you signature, is that another unseen MWLL map?
Only map i know of using a bridge like that is Palisades o.O

Works in progress my man, works in progress. Once the MWLL Devs activate the Crysis Wars Dedicated Server map autodownloader, I believe you will see a constant stream of "community created" maps for the MWLL mod. Stay tuned.

Once the MWLL Devs activate the Crysis Wars Dedicated Server map autodownloader
It's deactivated? Why?
