The limitations to vertical field of view are extremely frustrating. I'm allready running on a 16:10 monitor and now the hud cuts even that so I'm down to a pathetic slit. As a result I'm having serious trouble following another ba the moment it jumps as it immediately goes outside the screen and the direction/targeting indicator is cluttered by the hud.

Judging from ba appearance this is all intentional but I think its too much. Make the top/bottom of the hud slimmer and its good. Might want to reconsider the 'out of focus' effect on it as well, its the only thing in the game (excluding zooming but including the rest of the hud...) that does this and as such a bit out of place.

On the bright side the damage effects are excellent (even the cracked glass), this is the kind of stuff that helps immersion (its actually connected to gameplay instead of just being a static obstruction)

Edit: fixed/removed stupid mistake that Flyingdebris pointed out.

"This statement is false"
In game as plain 'Lonkero'

Actually, Crysis deals with Widescreen by adding stuff horizontally, without cutting anything off the top or bottom.

Seriously, the little arrows that point to targets off screen need to get more pronounced.  Period.  End of story.

Good night.
Thanks for the view.

Love the new HUD. I hope we can get cracks and stuff for the mechs as well. That AC20 shell to your cockpit should leave a mark I think.
I have no problems with the smaller view. I have a lot more problem with the plethora of BA instakill weapons being carried around now that vehicles are more common. It is harsh being a BA now. Still fun at times though.

I must say I have problems with these alleged reload indicators though. I did not know they existed until someone in here pointed that out. Granted I do have some problems with colours so perhaps I am not the best one to comment on this. Is there some effect during reload as well I wonder? Like the mechs have the cross-hair icons lighting up for the weapon-groups and reloading weapons have a sort of bar thing moving in the hud next to their names as they reload. Animations and on/off lights work well for me (since I tend to miss colour hue changes...).

/Merf - Would of course also like the kill-info etc. to be still visible, but that was a known issue so...

the new HUD looks cool, but, it obscures so much.  Perhaps town down the border?
