Info for the "first-time-Visitor" at the Homepage

Hello,

the 0.4.0 Release was distributed at 29.12.2010 –exact 7 days ago. A wonderfull day with Memories to Beta 0.1.0 at December 2009.

During that, the Playerbase is going higher and higher. Night for night > 100 Player are playing at the same time. Most of them will come by Word-to-mouth, former MWLL 0.3.0 Player, or via a rumor at different online pages.

In the German Area, you can google only one 0.4.x Article at the Gamingmagazines. The Time will change that.  8) 8) 8)

Coming from the view of a "first-time-Visitors", he see first all the information about Updates, Problems, Steam and so on. It would be usefull/nice/positive, if he could see primarily the cheering Information „0.4 is available".
Therefore i suggest to refresh the main Banner with a stamp “Version 0.4 available".

PS: …and suggesting, to integrate both 2009 Awards, and the 2010 honorable Mention, at the main page. E.g. integration in the right Frame.

Oh come on now that writing is not bad at all for a non-native speaker, and he actually has a good idea.  He is saying to take the negative stuff out of the front page, because the first thing you want a newcomer to see is positive things.  First impressions and whatnot...

How about adding the 0.4.3 tag as the spraypaint you know from the MWLL Beta Trailer used at the very end? :)

A new header logo, a link to the download location, and basic installation instructions. These all look good as an introduction to the new MWLL 0.4.x release.

Yeah I kinda secretly hate that the website/forums are still using the default theme when we scrapped our awesome theme from pre-release times on the move to a new hosting system.

We .. know. It's still a RC and until the thing becomes  a full release we won't even start looking for someone that is able to theme us a new template for it.

On another note: It's hard to find people that are actually able to theme this monster. And I am not just talking some CSS changes and done but rather make this theme look like Mechwarrior with custom graphics and all.

Until then you gonna have to live with it :D
