The main thing I feel makes the prime more deadly is simply it's volume of fire. While the B has more spike damage and range, in terms of actual close in killing power, the two pulse variant does more damage over time. Just have to have good aim.

With three pulses it'll be better able to keep up a continual volume of fire, but heat will start to become an issue in longer fights. It'll be a trade off.

So a madcat decided to ignore your hovercraft sitting at <400m for 20 seconds (which is a bloody long time ingame)... seems unlikely, most pilots would ignore a gaggle of assault mechs to shoot the squishy hovercraft :D

It also says it has C3, which should almost make it worth using. It actually doesn't. I'm not sure if the bug is that it is listed improperly or if it is actually supposed to have C3.

What is really funny is I was about 60 meters away basically right in front of him. The guy could have easily killed me. I was expecting it. I was just trying to buy time for my teammates before he got any closer to our hangar. He never fired a shot at me. He was probably scope chasing a light or something and just didn't realize the damage would creep up on him that fast. Either way, I like the Hep. I want a clan gauss Hep honestly. With C3 and BAP. They seem to be quite a bit more heavily armored than the Harasser.

If the scout Hep had C3, I would use it until I could afford the scout Shadowcat. Which is awesome BTW. Thing prints money. CERPPC and ATM6.. What's not to like?

I chose it specifically for the C3, and then it didn't have any :'(

Me and I think Atlessa both filed bug reports (I was there first :P), so either the stats or the loadout will be fixed eventually :-\

I can't stand the Hephaestus's handling and weaponry. It just seems so terrible compared to the Harasser.
I do like the Hephaestus C though, reminds me of one the Harasser variants I suggested  :D

I even suggested making the Harasser handle EXACTLY like the Heph except with MOAR SPEED
I always get stuck in water, spin out, play bumper cars and die in the Harasser. Not to mention if it shuts down over water, you're not going anywhere (glitch)

The Harasser is much easier to control on open terrain. The Hephaestus feels like a yacht compared to the Harasser.

Maybe because the Heph has a more streamlined body, allowing for more glance like impacts, but in a harasser, if there is something I can hit anywhere near me, I will hit it, I will do a 180 spin, and I will lose all momentum

Maybe the gods of harassment just hate me :'(
