Kind of OT, but what about adding an optional checkbox thingy to the MWLL updater, with the option of installing community map packs?  It would be unchecked by default, but if checked would just unzip them in the correct folder.  Choosing which maps are 'worthy' should be left up to the community/Devs approval.  Would be as easy as starting a poll in the forums.

The beta version of TSA_Gatorbait can be downloaded in two ways:

1. Connect to my server !!NBT-MWLL 0.5.0 and the map autodownloader will download and connect you to the server.

2. Direct download for manual install using this link -> http://www.mwllmaps.com/maps/TSA/TSA_Gatorbait.zip

Please post comments and constructive criticisms here.

Looks cool, i've one minor critique though.

Instead of the bridge/tunnel is it possible to have a small winding pathway coming down the hillside?
There are small winding paths on the map reminded me of a golf course around the bases. I also like the trees not every tree should be a pine or spruce.

Yes !!! Anyone who can help me with this I surely would appreciate it. I have been trying to get rid of that for sometime now.

The depth of the water in most places is purposefully shallow to allow all vehicles to conduct battles in the water. I think the water depth and the terrain texture combine to produce this effect. I am open to suggestions on this one.  ???

Sorry just getting on the web now, 11:30am EDT. I have restarted the server and it is currently on TSA_Gatorbait.

Just took a scout run on Gatorbait (video of 'issues' is wip) and I had no problems at all downloading and starting it.

Autodownloader worked perfectly fine on my end.

That error basically tells you that there's something wrong with the map, or more precisely an object on the map...
I don't know what causes this error, and there's no way to find out what's the exact cause of it either.
All I can say is:
redownloading the map might help...


oh, and about that flickering on the water:
have you changed the oceans texture?
I have had that happening with different textures than the default one...
tho again I don't know the cause of it, i suspect it's a combination of textures and settings for the ocean.
I'd say play around with waveheigt and color/fog settings for the ocean and use the defaulttexture...

My apologies. There are a number of old GeomEntities in TSA_Gatorbait I have not yet converted to brushes. I will correct this and re-publish the map.

At first: I really like the map by its setting and especially the layout (gameplaywise). Looks really promising.

And I can't explain why, I had a by far much worse perfomance regarding fps then I expected to have.

It was always ~25-30fps.
Deathvalley I run with the same settings with ~50fps when its empty, Frostbite with ~70fps.
