Not really sure what cvars you think are different, but using the Warhead 3.0 version of CCC in Wars/MWLL brings up no "unknown command" errors except for the things that are "commented" out.

all i know is i also tried the autoexec that the CCC 3.0 Warhead app created and although it worked, when i brought up the console i had a ton more red cvar errors than normal in Wars

so i did some digging and found some information that suggested there are several cvars that are implemented differently in Warhead than they were in the original Crysis and Crysis Wars.  then read that using the 2.21 CCC original app was recommended for Crysis and Crysis Wars, that they share the same cvar sets and that somehow Warhead was the odd ball

this isnt to say it wont work, but think about it, there's a reason they created a completely separate app for Warhead and named it Warhead CCC.  there's also a reason why it doesnt give you the option to install to Wars directory or even mention Wars.  If Crysis and Crysis Warhead use the same cvars why would they go to the trouble to create a Warhead version?

Don't have a link by any chance where you read this? The only thing I'm able to find is that some Punkbuster enabled servers may not be happy with the CVARs that are tweaked by CC in Crysis Wars. Beyond that, Wars and Warhead on the same engine and have some different CVARs from vanilla Crysis.

Hi I tried to run CCC 2.21 but got an "A referral was returned from the server " error. Anyone else encountered this or is my CCC copy corrupted somehow? Looks like i will have to stick to CCC 3.0

It was somewhere in the InCrysis forums....I can't find it now, I emails the author of the tweak guide.....either way its no biggie it mostly works.

I had this same problem, and after I did some searching, I discovered that I needed to click the "Run this program as an administrator" on the compatibility tab.  For some reason, right clicking on the installer and choosing "Run as administrator" did not work -- I had to go through the compatibility tab itself.  I run Win 7-64.

If you have an older or non-gaming setup (like mine, a laptop), then I wouldn't recommend CCC.  I get much better performance without using it than with using it (15 fps on it's lowest setting wasn't fun).

I went through the Crysis Tweak Guide and the Crysis Warhead Tweak Guide (both at Tweak Guides), and made my config file from scratch.

I'm pretty sure that either multi-player or the MWLL mod ignores some of the settings (in favor of server settings maybe?), but it still gives me playable framerates (always > 25, usually > 35).

As for Wars being more like Crysis or Warhead for configuration, I think it is closer to Warhead.  My Crysis/MWLL config file was giving me more errors than my new one does now (after reading the Wars tweak guide and adjusting things accordingly).

Oh, and any comments in your config file are going to show as errors.  They don't cause any issues, just lots of red in the console.

I used CCC 2.21 at High settings but experience ghosting of ojects when I zoom in. The ghosting looks like a faint image of the ojects in view of the zoom (buildings, rock, etc) but at an odd angle under the actual object. Does anyone else encounter this issue?

If required I will take a screen shot to show you what I mean. Btw how do you take a screen shot ingame?

I haven't had such problems, but i'm using CCC 3 like most people i know.

Use F12, they will be stored in My Games\Crysis Wars\Screenshots. To hide the HUD use cl_hud 0 in the console.

The only problem I've had after using CCC (both 2 and 3) is that I can only use directx 9. If I try to launch with directx 10 then when it loads up there's no video at all, just sounds on a black screen (with the cursor showing and moving).

Try Alt+Enter a few times to toggle between windowed and fullscreen.  DX10 is kinda picky about starting in fullscreen in my experience.

I downloaded 3.0 and I have it set at Level 4 for DX10 and have no problems. I'm not sure if I noticed much of an improvement but I haven't played enough to see. I do however think my FPS improved. Thanks for starting this thread.

I went back to CCC 3.0 and it was all perfect at level 4, CCC 2.21 created a lot of problems for me in thunder rift, looks like I am sticking with 3.0. Thanks everyone for all the help.
