AFAIK Partsians can only mount ballistical weapons. Don't get me wrong Stahlseele, I like the idea, just saying what I think I've heard.
ELRM Partisan says no.  8)
That is actually something I'm really looking foward to doing in mechtanklab... Pimping out my partisans with mixed weapon load outs. :D
By the way... Ballistical!  ;D

hmm . . if the tank does not run on fuzion but on ICE, then it could, indeed, not be able to field energy weapons at all . .
but i still want more weapon loadouts for my parti/huey <.<
even if they do crash me often ._.

We're working on making them less frame-dependant, but that's a tad slow coming.  I'll see if i can convince certain people to let me make them more useful though.

Not quite  :P  They may be frame dependant, but they can only fire once every 0.1ish seconds for now.  Any faster and they'd have massive issues with the netcode, any slower and you guys'd just hate them.  An LXPL at a fast enough framerate where that ceases to effect it, does a little bit less DPS then a heavy large laser.

Which means you only get the full damage from them if you're getting 60 FPS constantly.
So who's got a beefy enough comp to do that, even in large fights, please raise your hand ;)

*raises hand slowly*  1920x1080 with all High settings... I don't usually run into frame problems.  Just when My entire screen is full of MRM streaks from my end intermingling with another huge pack of MRMs coming my way.  I was blind for a bit...

But even on my machine, the twin XMPLs on the Raven were less than effective...

ICE vehicles use power converters to power energy weapons, I believe.

possible.
never been fond of Vehicles in BT . . MWLL is actually the first to change that for me ^^

4x UAC2 parti still sounds like the ultimate rape mobile since you'd be forcing planes to keep out of your 1200m range.

I used the MXLP raven all the time and i love it, my second choice for starting mech with the PPC osiris constantly being the first choice lately hehe.

Or chemical lasers, which are basically exactly the same as regular lasers but have ammo  ::)

Fusion engines on vehicles give several great benefits over ICE in CBT.
- Half weight of an ICE engine
- 10 free heat sinks
- no need for power converters for energy weapons

In order to use energy weapons the tank must do the following
- Mount enough heat sinks to combat ALL heat the energy weapons build up (note, tanks do not build up heat for ballistic and missile weapons).
- Mount a power converter equal to 1/10th of the weight of all energy weapons on the vehicles. So 4 Large Lasers (20 tons), would require a 2 ton power converter.

Fortunately, in MWLL, all vehicles are assumed to have Fusion engines.
