Where is it best to get a game?
« on: January 21, 2011, 12:10:09 PM »
Hi all,
newbie question. When i log onto see any servers, all i see are 4 and no-one playing them. Surely there must be someone playing somewhere?? I know i'm from Australia and out of sync with the rest of the world  ::) but where do you log onto to get a game?

Are you playing Crysis or Crysis Wars? Everyone is moving over to wars and Crysis support will soon be dropped.

There is a lull during prime time for Australia for some reason. Usually there are 10-20 people on though, maybe you looked right as a server went down.

Does everyone still log in via the Crynet/Gamespy option? I can only see 3 servers up

3 servers sound like something I would expect for standard Crysis.
Crysis wars have at least a page full of servers for me.

Loging in to servers from in-game.

/Merf - Is thinking 3 servers listed indicate something is not right

4 servers.. in total? Or is that 4 servers with people?
Maybe you have filters set in (I seem to recall there is a filter option)?

4 in total. All filtering is off.
I have a feeling that it might be still running crysis instead of wars so am deleting everything and re-intalling

If you're installing off disk Wars should be it's own disk not to be confused with the Warhead disk.

If you have both Crysis and Crysis Wars installed on your computer, make sure you are running the Crysis Wars client.

I used to get a bug where active servers wouldn't show up after I refreshed/ updated the server list. Sometimes simply hitting update a zillion times solved the problem and the servers would eventually show...

Im from australia and theres 3 aussie servers, 3FL, gamearena and Matchbox.  3FL is ussualy where everyone plays because it has the best ping for everyone. But yeah whenever i refresh my server list i get a full page but the rest of them are american servers etc.
