nice wall of text ^^
Uziel D:
nice ^^ W2H want to have
Uziel E:
looks like a real nice brawler on the paper and jumpsniper ... maybe change the jj's for masc ...

Catapult D:
kick ass at shortrange as a big brother of the owens

Catapult E:
this baby looks like it do what the CBT catapult dose on the hexfield battlefield

Hollander D
why 1 free ton ? srly ?! did it get more armor ?

Hollander E

yeah maybe remove 2 mg's and add a GECM ... so its a bit easyer for new players to do there AA job with this baby ... all "pros" run around with radar of and spot hollander's on 1500m on marsh ^^

all in all i like this confics ... ^^ hope with mechlab comes a unique code editor for the variants ... so you can share them with the code ...

I still see the Hollander as being to weakly armored to be effective, sure its great when you are still in the early stages of the battle, but a light mech can still slice through that torso and knock out your heavy weapon. In order to compete with the Shadow Cat and the other proposed mediums and still be effective, it needs to have its armor levels increased, while this may not be really true to Battletech Lore, it really needs to be done. In hindsight i think they should have went the Hunchback route, sure its slower, but the overall armor is alot more impressive than what the Hollander manages.

True enough, though I don't like them much personally.

Now, a non-streak SRM boat would be fun and unique. :P

Indeed, I'm adding SSRMs to these on the assumption that they wont be broken as hell later on.

Though as a general rule, I like SRMs on fast stuff, SSRM on slow stuff, and cata is pretty slow so...

On the Holly D, I gave it a GECM on the assumption that 1 free ton of LBX20 ammo lasts a long time.

I had GECM on the Holly E before but decided to change it to BHP so you can see everything you need to with that Lt.gauss and not get snuck up on. If you can see that passive dive bomber coming early, easier to JJ out of the way.

As to the Uzi E, Yeah... not knowing the pod rules for the Uzi was giving me a hard time on this one as was deciding to keep the JJs... its basically Thor Prime's little helper. As for MASC.. eh not enough HS to support it along with that ERPPC and the Uzi is very fast to begin with, in some brawling situations, particularly inside bases, JJs are better.

Also, these two are a bit wonky because I didn't use a mech building program to design them, as the MWLL version of the Holly is pretty butchered weight wise so was just guessing. Assuming a few basic principles and not getting too fancy its not that hard to build MWLL viable builds off CBT rules.

I try not to remove JJs too often but sometimes it is just a must, that Uziel would explode from heat after the second shots if it still had JJs instead of all those DHS. And I stress DHS.
I'll add some more later.

You mean like everyone and their grandma knows about it and does it, including just-passers-by, like Aerospace and BA.
