If you have a team mate in a BA Tagging and one in a Partisan with 2 ERLRM 20's you can be more than just annoying.

I've long thought that if Stealth armor was added, it should

NOT BE:
A cloaking device, predator camo, etc.
BE:
Something different than another kind of ECM or stackable ECM.

I think it should prevent you from obtaining a target lock until the target is under 400 meters (not a missile lock, just a target lock), and prevent you from seeing what weight class it is on the radar until within that range.  Pilots often kind of rely on finding a target on the radar then locking it to keep track of it, not being able to lock a mech because of another electronics warfare package would give it a huge edge  at the "run around the edge sniping in" game.
I will personally hunt you down and poptart your leg while your back is turned and you're in your base.

Stealth armor is definitely not a cloaking device of any sort.  From the TechManual (p206)

Quote
Introduced: 3063 (Capellan Confederation)

Based on an effort to recover the long-lost Star League-era null signature system, the Capellan Confederation's stealth armor technology is actually a complex system of heat baffles and layers of radar- and EM-absorbent that -- while about as bulky as ferro-fibrous armor -- provides the same physical protection as standard armor.  Limited exclusively to BattleMechs, this system requires the use of a Guardian ECM suite to function, but when activated, the 'Mech becomes virtually invisible to hostile sensors and EW devices.  Radical in form and design, stealth armor can undermine even the abilities of active probes, though this system also scrambles its user's own targeting systems and traps a great deal of waste heat when active.

In short:
-Stealth Armor does NOT make you invisible to direct observation.
-Stealth Armor does run hot.
-Stealth Armor interferes with your own targeting systems.

Read my RP called Kirov's Headache I based it on the technology described and followed the technical info from BTWIKI. everything is explained through the RP about memetic armor (Stealth) the spectors and associated problems and how I would solve the problems. along with the tech being used by WOB/Comstar. This will give you better canon related understanding including LPS
