What would be truly awesome was a check-box in the launcher and pending value there load either debug or standard DLLs, with no renaming or copying involved.
Future feature request to the already busy team I know, but as always when dealing with people I am thinking this could increase the amount of people willing to run in debug mode tenfold.

Already on the list :)

You need to copy the debug DLLs again after each and every update.

Sorry, I didn't know that.  Wouldn't it be easier to opt out of submitting a crash report than opting in?  Have submitting as a default.... Or would it be too difficult to determine which debug dll needed to be installed? I am not a programmer so I wouldn't know.

My idea with that is, there is a small performance impact using the debug dlls. We would rather not accidentally hurt someone's gameplay experience and give them the choice, than the other way around. Especially since not everyone reads the forums.

Makes sense. On my older machine I would have turned them off.  :) I needed every little hertz i could squeeze out of it to play the game.
