I think this needs to be read by everyone here.  I'm sure many/most of you have already

It's a post-mortem about a high-profile mod called Nightfall that shut down, and the story of why the mod failed.  Really valuble, and really shows the darkside people don't like to talk about when it comes to great mods...

Yeah i read through it start to finish and i understand why things like this can happen. A HUGE part of the reasons behind the projects not finishing is lack of core leadership. You really will find yourself getting non-stop applications from idea men that have tons of ideas but very little skill in implementation or actual management of a talented team to bring those ideas to fruitition. Another mistake alot of time mod teams make is to try to do a bit too much too fast, a key strategy in all game design is KISS. Kiss it simple stupid! :)

Anyways rest assured there are some core people here at MWLL that are far too stubborn to let it fail.
