This is a very slick game. Make sure your graphics drivers are the latest. I had an older version of my AMD/ATI drivers and they kept locking up my rig. This game is CoD like but still this is a most impressive effort from Crytek. You can really see what CryENGINE3 can do!

I will definitely buy this game. I cannot wait for the Single Player. I will re-visit this game once my hardware is setup for 3D!

Good Job Crytek !!!

downloading it now

EDIT: Just played it, the start thing and odd settings changing buttons (not to mention calling your monitor a TV) reek of console-ishness but the game itself is MUCH BETTER than the Xbox demo that came before it
The weapons can actually kill and people do things besides shotgun and strength punch rush. On my first game, I actually managed to break even besides spending 5 minutes adjusting the settings and super low sensitivity (they really gotta change the menu) not to mention only having 18 FPS on the lowest settings (which look awesome anyway)

I like it, but won't be able to appreciate it fully till I get mah GTX460 :-[

The GFX in this game are actually worse than CE2 in many places just because they shrank the textures. The engine has supported 4k textures since CE2 and now they shrank some of them. The only real advantage over CE2 is its multiplatofrm support. That in of its self is a huge deal for some developers but as far as the PC is concerned its just an incremental update.

IDK about console development maybe it looks freaken amazing on the consoles or something. Maybe its hugely optimized and can deliver those huge textures that we all love to the consoles but w/e im not that caught up on it.

The game looked great to me, although there was too much bloom effects in some places and it blinded you

I like the feel of the player and weapons over what was in Crysis 1, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was exactly like playing call of duty modern warfare 2 only I had a super suit.  Definitely digging the graphics though, I only hope there's some worthwhile game type like Search and Destroy (No Respawn) in the final product, along with a "Hardcore" mode (though this may not be needed since I seemed to be able to kill people without expending an entire clip). Thats really what kept me going on the other call of duty games, because team deathmatch gets boring after you use it to unlock everything.

The graphics are good and very optimized.
There is a game play I like, the crash site thing.
Nano suit is fun thermal vision and stealth are very cool.

yeah, the demo on 360 had serious hit detection issues. Most bullets would disappear, making it take 2 mags or more to kill people. The view control also felt clunky (like it had a huge deadzone) compared to games like Halo, Battlefield and CoD. This caused most people to just rush and Strength punch or shotgun spam for easy kills

I don't usually play FPS games on computer (I like playing them with friends, and they prefer the simplicity and relative cheapness of the Xbox) but this one is far superior to the Xbox version and if I do buy it, there's no chance I'm getting it for the 360 unless they fix those issues.

Hardcore S and D is my favourite CoD gametype, and having something similar would be cool, but the amount of people who would bitch about C2 "copying CoD" even more would probably make it unlikely

Also, why the hell is crouch "C" instead of L-Ctrl? Took me forever to find out how to crouch

I think you forgot yours, I said 1h meaning it was my first impression of the game.

Is there a problem? is it because I have a different view than your opinion on this demo?

I've been able to max everything out at ~60fps and honestly it just feels like something's missing.  I know that the demo is DX9 only and there will hopefully be more gfx options in the full game but I've had a sinking feeling that won't change a whole lot  :-\

I mean MWLL takes a much bigger toll on my system and I'd expect the next iteration of the cryengine to be able to tax my system in an equal or greater way, while dazzling me with better still graphics.

The gameplay itself is very COD-ish, I'm a bigger fan of battlefield style gameplay myself but the MP demo kinda grew on me.  Would probably get the final game mostly for the SP it looks immersive  :D.

They have a "maximum" graphics setting that comes with the full game ;)
k I totally made that up, but how can you complain about a game that looks twice as good (IMO) and runs twice as well as crysis?

Haven't played it much yet, but it feels very much like CoD on hardcore mode...
Which imho isn't a good thing, if it weren't for the super-jumping, cloak and jump stomps, it just doesn't feel like my character is wearing a super suit, especially with armor now being a trade-off instead of the old standard while it feels like it doesn't give that much of a benefit.
Oh and Snipers on small maps like the ones in the demo? No really necessary...

I imagine the full version will have larger maps with vehicles, and hopefully some other fun gametypes like the power struggle that make you move around the map
