Legs are fine for a small scout mech. Any thinner and theyŽd look like straws IŽd say(and think Žbout this too: where to put all the internals if legs were any thinner than this?)^^

Looks really nice in the comparison screenshot, very ready to race alongside some owens^^

A work of pure art!
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

doh thats an easy one ... chickens will rule the world in the 3rd millennia. That we presently are shown bipedals to accompany such metallic beasts is a pure diversion ::) and they use invisible armor plates too *shrugs*though they never have gotten over the temptation to cross the roads ???

Explain this one then :P

Just one of the dozens of examples where the fluff (art) does not match the fluff (technical descriptions*).

*Mechs are supposed to have skeletons covered with myomer muscles. More or less the same like living creatures.
Example. The famous MadCat picture. No muscles at all. Servos and hydraulics are used in this 'blueprint' to get the mech to work.
-> I like artists.  ::)

Yeah, I always wondered about that. In no blue print drawing, be it artist or fan based, are there ever any myomer muscles.

Indeed.
If you read the dozens of pages of descriptions how mechs are supposed to work. Then check any (often attached to the text you had been just reading) blueprint, pic, whatever. It's obvious, the artists draw classic robots, they didn't read and/or understood the text at all. For example they draw the myomer activators as a servo. But the activator is supposed to be only some kind of stimulator to activate (contract) the according myomer*. The diameter of a warhammer myomer for its leg is supposed to be ~1m, activated (=contracted) ~1.3m.
And you need always two of them since you need one for each phase of the movement of a joint (antagonistic work cycle).

But... wth...

*the activator only electrifies the according muscle to let it contract. (thats the only thing (myomer) muscles can do: contracting. And nothing else.)

I want to see this commando in the actual mod, so keep up with it best you can.

Its a massive lot of work, but if you actually pull this off, you ll make some of us VERY happy around here!

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

Sorry,
I'll definitely need help on my legs, can't get the ragdoll to work properly even in the other program. I'm losing my time with this.
I'll need the help of someone who has 3s max and who knows how to export .chr files, I can't do this myself.

Hey Alex!
Very nice model of the commando. I love the "old fashioned" Mechs like commando, Warhammer, etc so great to see another model.
Keep up your work.
