Well I read through the wiki and played for a while but I still dont have a clue what to do.
I was playing as an assistant and I didnt understand my roll in the game.
I explored, would collect stuff but for what reason?
If I took the roll of another crew member would the game guide me to what i was supposed to do?

Please give me some idea of the end goal of this game so I can move on.

Your goal is to troll.

At least mine is.

Well when I wake in the morning and I step outside, I take a deep breath and I get real high and IIIIIIIIIII

Usually you only pick assistant for your first few games to learn the controls, and later on when you want to troll around.

If you already know the basics pick one of the easier classes and do your job, and as soon as you can play them pretty much without problems pick a harder class, and as soon as you have seen all game types a few times activate "be syndicate", so you can be the bad guy.

I went from assistant to miner and roboticist and had a much better time.
Very satisfying to move up.

I play as Xavier Woollard on #3 and Jaylen Fryer on #4

Hi there fellow SS13 players  ;D

Some months ago I stumbled over some guys (or was it only one guy?) trying to recreate SS13 in a 3D enviroment. Now I wanted to check how it was going... but I have somehow lost my bookmark. Does anyone know where that project was and can link me to it?

Last time I checked they already had a crude 3D engine and some early physics, and the whole thing was making promising progress. There were even some early models of humans and furniture (tough they looked like something from 2004... but, well... SS13 looks like something from my Amiga ::)). If this project comes along nicely and the feeling of SS13 is translated into fps enviroment it could be one of the best MMO games ever.  :o

You sir are a hero  ;D

Strange, I tried Google and all it came up with was some odd movie and lots of NASA stuff.   :(

EDIT:
Apparently I have the dumb today... seems like I forgot the crucial part of 13 when using Google, no wonder it found nothing of relevance  :P

And the project seems to be alive and growing, too. Yay  ;D
