Please, can someone provide a download link to this game?
« on: December 27, 2007, 09:41:40 PM »
Okay, I'll take the hit. But I can not find where to download this game. So please help me out. Is it available at all?

Is it still in development? Is it only in beta? Please someone explain how I can get my hands on MWLL. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply but could you also provide an update as to when it may be available? Just general time frames would be appreciated.

If no major, unexpected obstacles and disturbances occur, you will definitely be playing at this time next year.

WOW!!! I had no idea. I thought it would be much further along based on what I've read.  guess I'll just have to wait.... but guys....please hurry. I am so tired of waiting for a next gen battletech game. Seems like tons of stuff is always "in the works" but nothing ever shows up. Thanks for the effort though.

I think you fail to realize the amount of work and effort that needs to get put into one of these projects. The amount of content we wish to provide is beyond the scope of what any other the previous MechWarrior games have ever brought to the table. You are right about how we've come a long ways so far, but we still have a fair bit more to go in order to get the final product out. Expect more updates soon.

Eheh...the villagers are already massing with pitchforks and torches  :o

Much effort indeed goes into these things.  And to think that they do it for no money...  ::)

We do it for the love of a challenge, for portfolios and better yet we get to make a game we enjoy playing and rely on ourselves to create and not other people! :D We all love what we do else we wouldn't spend hours a day on it.

I have a couple of quick questions:

1).  Will MWLL have the look and feel of Crysis? or will it be more like the past online MW games?

2).  I have recently upgraded my hardware to be able to even play Crysis.  I now have an Intel D946GZis motherboard with 2gb of ram and a Pentium D dual-core CPU with a Radeon HD3870 512mb graphics card running Vista Home Basic..  With this setup, I get a default setting in Crysis of LOW on everything..  What else do I need to do to at least get up to medium settings, and will MWLL be an even greater system hog?

It will be a combination of both. They game IS a mod of Crysis, so of course it will have some Crysis feel to it, but the game play will make you almost immediately forget about that. The only similarities your will consistently see are the prestige / C-bill system.

I myself have an eVGA 7950gt KO Superclocked videocard.
I need an upgrade. I can only play low in multiplayer, medium in single player, which means I need a better card.

Right now, if you have a PCI-E motherboard, I'd go with the 8800gt. it's right on the heels of the 8800GTX, and makes the GTS look like a wimp. I've had 2 ATi card before this, and was dissatisfied with both. They promised so much, but gave me so little.
I'd need a power supply upgrade too. 800 watts are pretty pricey now though, so if I was going to update my stuff, I'd wait around three months when the prices of cards go down, and the prices of Quad cores go down.
In about 3 months time you should be able to give your PC a SWEET overhaul for about 650 bucks. :)

However, I'm just going to start working and buy a whole new PC. (Student, and I have no job. xD)
I can't say my choices now because everything is going to change in 3 months.

it is rumored that nVidia will be coming out with something new. >.>

The new 8800GTS 512 mb version outperforms the 8800GT. Also, it's not all the GPU the CPU also plays a massive role in your framerates. Alot of people bottleneck their cards :\

How i play this is it just for making it or playing and making it

Well, I'm writing and testing code in Alpha right now on a P4 1 Meg 3.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and a 8600GT. and can get about 17 fps or so. Who knows what it'll be like by the time our amazing modelers get done bring our systems to their knees... it'll be worth it though.
