I'd like to think ramming won't be permitted, considering IS has a serious numbers advantage when it comes to the number of flying assets they have available to them.

Umm, half are outranged by the ERLBL Sulla (aka flying novacat) which can 3-shot them which makes those pretty much useless until you run out of that Sulla variant, and the rest (including the LGauss one, but it has the range to ping you almost anywhere and the LG actually does noticeable damage) are so shit that I've consistently F'bombed them to deat with minimal damage taken to myself

Well, Sparrowhawks can help you against a Sulla A, and I guess all you can do is take the ones that will hit out to 1200 M, until you can't anymore. By then just hope you've killed all the Sulla A's, like we hope we kill all your beatsticks early =P

At some point I'd like to test a 1:1.1 ratio (300:330t) to see if it makes a huge difference on viability. Best to run a few more tests on 1:1.2 first, though.

Agreed. 

I think the best tests are going to come when both teams are trying our hardest to win.  If one of us is taking an experimental list and the other is taking a more hardcore approach, the test kind of gets invalidated.  If both of us are taking experimental lists, it's an invalid test to begin with, as all that is being determined is which team had a less whacky list.

Also, it's not really much of a test unless we switch it and do reverse tech.  It will take quite a while to play 5 games for each side though, so maybe we could just alternate which unit takes which faction.  That will give a much better overall result, as pilot skill discrepancies are reduced or removed from the equation.

I am guessing some time will have to be agreed on since ~SJ~ is sort of spread out across the globe and tend to have to do a bit of a time puzzling to figure out when people can play.
