CPUID is the same group that does PC Wizard, they'll have at least most of the tools you need to get temperature readings, though if you have Vista/7, taking a browse through the gadget/widget list some time can get you some nice temp readers too

dont have much in the way of temperature readings

all i can get from the bios is:

CPU 26
Chipset 45
Ambient 27

This is after 2-4 hours of Crysis 2 and Metro 2033

Run a stress test and use your finger. Threshold for pain is around 60C.

Also, a BIOS test is really inaccurate, since your gear is cooling all the time that you reboot and enter BIOS. The most accurate test is in the OS/game, as thats where the real usage comes from.

I am having some aluminum heatsinks made at the shop at work if anyone is interested.  They are designed to be cost effective and low profile.  The first batch will be 1sq cm and 5mm tall.  I am looking into what to use/get as thermal tape or adhesive.  I have used the Arctic Thermal Adhesive.  It is a bit permanent.  Looking for good performing double sided tape or appropriate alternative.  I should have a few left over after I get through with my motherboard mosfets and video card VRM's and ram.

Sure it felt different but so did my wife after the kids were born. A little loose but it still gets me off every time. -- Suspect

You have plenty of room there. Come back when your NB pops a 100degrees and you are getting stability problems.

Seriously around 50 is fine for chipset NB temps.
