Who kills you?

Sorry if this is a noob question - but I am a noob, so there you go! lol

When you die, you can't see the text that says "Player X  <kills>  Player Y", so how do you know who killed you?

You should be able to see the kill notification when you die in mechs.  the devs are aware of the BA overlay covering it up.

For me, in org matches it's either i do something really dumb (most of the time) or i get killed by a crit nuke :/

Well, I wondered about that.  But I cannot for the life of me get the console to work.

I've put the "con_restricted=0" into the Autoexec.cfg file, the console key is bound to the "tilde" key (I have a Merc Stealth keyboard), but it refuses to appear when I press the 'tilde' key.

When I die, I see the BA view (in red) and I have to guess at who killed me - sometimes death comes out of nowhere, and it would be nice to have a "grudge" to settle  ;D

Pretty much my only chance to get back at the guy if I got the "no name" glitch or they kill me without me seeing them is to be lucky enough to respawn quickly enough for the message to not disappear yet

Somehow the prospect of death in MWLL distilled down to being a stillborn BA is oddly disturbing...

On a vehicle or mech. 

My own arrogance which causes me to forget this isn't MW4 and opponents are actually very deadly now.

I kill me the most.  Usually through an act of stupidity.  Someone else gets the credit by merely having pulled the trigger when it happens.   ::)

Kill messages do not show up on the console.  I've looked.  Devs are theoretically working on it but for me it's not a big deal considering my statement above.   8)

The one that kills you knows who killed you and if it was not Lobo then it certainly was me especially if you were in a ba or aero. I can just imagine someone in a BA sneaking all the way around the map just to get in position and I fill their visor with ac2 and ac5 from my Huit of doom, oh the delicious frustration. Muuhhaaahaaahaa! ;D
