Can you believe that? I guess with all the digital video games, more and more people may want to take a hand with physical things they can play with?

Yeah I can fapping believe it, I have to wait for a reprint despite waiting for about 2 months now.  :'(

The quality had better be stellar!

Two of the minis will be, and the boards are fapping amazing... but unless you get lucky and they got someone to re sculpt a few of their molds...

I'm going to take up heroin, it seems a cheaper hobby.

You lucky ...
we here in Germany are not going to see the box in our shops until the US-hunger is satisfied.  :o
(thank god, there's internet)

And yes - I can believe it. Many of us grew up painting and pushing tin or plastic models over cardbord. Then we tried to get the newest BT stuff or at least, what we could  afford. ;)
Now probably we could afford it - but there are  so few new releases...
 ::) hmmmm... these days...

Heh, well I grew up with a pretty bad 40k hobby.

I wish I'd just got into BT earlier.

I'm in Europe as well dude, at least you've got a BT community in Germany. It seems pretty much dead for it in the UK.

Oh I remember those 40k-addicts
 ;D

And I've been in a BT community - 15 years ago. It was called Nice Dice and separated from Mechforce GER.
And to tell you the trough: Those huge fights were boring.  Sitting in a cellar, Wait up to two hours, till it's your turn, 30 guys around you and always someone telling you, what your next move should be...
Today  my buddy and me play Megamek on two laptops on a kitchentable.

Thats a damn shame to hear.

The group I usually do table top with just got into BT. They played their first game last week using the introductory quick start rules and had a blast. Had them running a scenario of a training mission during Operation Galahad (3028). Next up, first wave of Operation Rat  8)

Nifty Idea I had there was since the quickstart rules don't use critical hits or heat, that the training mission was done using powered down lasers and blanks on ammo based weapons. Computer's simulated damage. Next game will be the full on introductory rules (3025 or Level 1 tech) with full heat and critical rules in place.

They love the roleplaying aspect (sorta mixing D20 modern into the mix somewhat), so the scenario based play works well.

Sounds pretty much like what I aim to achieve, glad it's do'able.

I still have my original hex boards manuals etc, my group ended up upping the scale.
We used 10 inch cardboard hex's and tape measures to play outside with large figures

I can highly recommend playing this way, fresh air, a few beers, a prawn or two on the barbie.

Its essentially the same as the table top game, just on a larger scale

Thanks very kind of you to say so
Another trick i remember from my table top days, was to get your favorite stat sheets laminated, that way you can use a whiteboard marker to mark off damage etc, and re use them again an again

Pretty cool.
But I wonder, what my neighbor would say, if I start playing bigscale BT in my Backyard  ;D
I'd probably have to make him drunk and let him join

He makes them iirc... there is a thread somehwere with him talking about them.  I would ask you how much you would charge for one to be made, as I have absolutely no woodworking skills at all, nor do i have the space or tools to do so, but that looks like it is a fair amount of work... and I would be pressed to in any case :D  Still, freaking awesome!
