How I see the Carrier in MWLL:

Slow. Heavy front&turret armor, armor on the sides&back only existing by name and no free tons and no enhanced sensors. (has to rely on an APC and a Scout)

Variants: 10x DSRM6, 5xLRM20, 4xELRM15, 6xMRM20 and 3xArrow IV.

But now I got awaka and am back in reality.  :'(

Both are a tad boaty for my tastes.
The new Thannys however, are both homeruns! 8)

Can someone tell me why the extra ammo space for the iPoke was removed? Uziel B i think. Or is it just removed in SA? Or am I crazy and it never had it to begin with.... o_o

Didnt think it was worth making a new topic over

I did have 2 tons of space in .4.9. I have no idea if it was removed, but if so, it was probably a tonnage issue. Some mech variants are overweight and are being fixed as the game progresses.

oops though it had an srm on it >_<

Isn't the E the 2xUAC5, 2 MG, 1 NARC config?  Haven't played with it yet, but sounds like a great AA/AntiBA platform with support for Narcs.  Probably a counter part to the Scat Narcer.

Ugh, that really sucks about the ipoke, since it was a pretty good stopgap in the medium category for long range support in the late join situation without having to missile boat or for thunder rift. 16 shots isnt enough. I'd rather they cut out the lrm or mguns :(

There are loads of really nice variants in this update I have to say.  Bringing the AC10s up to speed was very helpful for a hell of a lot of chassis imo.  Fixing SRMs really helped as well.  0.49 has some many lame variants because their primary weapon systems were sorely lacking and most of that seems corrected now.  I find myself taking quite a few different variants and getting smashed by quite a few different ones as well.

The AC10? I suppose u meant the UAC10 since the AC10 damage is still... er... not as it could be.
(160 per shot (AC10) vs 210 per shot (UAC10))

I think the reasoning behind the AC/UAC damage discrepancy is to keep the DPS ratio at 2:1. UACs fire twice as fast but have to pause periodically to cool down, so individual shell damage is higher to compensate for this. It makes sense, depending on how you look at; UACs can potentially deal exactly twice the damage of standard ACs, but only if fired with optimal efficiency (no overheats or wasted cooldowns).

I am liking the AC10 in general now. The Warhammer B in particular can lay down some nice long steady barrages.

It makes perfect sense in a pure calculation. Or in a laboratory. Or in war between two bunkers.

But it makes no sense at all regarding real gameplay (with moving targets, windows of engagement and cover).

MRMs getting fixed is a real plus for me too.  Now only if we got XPulse lasers to be fixed and I think we'd be in great shape across the board.

But it makes no sense at all regarding real gameplay (with moving targets, windows of engagement and cover).

Then try to deny cover and maneuver the battlefield to the point that it becomes a war between bunkers. That's just the theme of ACs, and simply tweaking damage values won't change it. It would take another significant overhaul of their firing patterns to make them suitable for duck'n'cover fighting, which entails quite a lot of rebalancing.

MRMs getting fixed is a real plus for me too.  Now only if we got XPulse lasers to be fixed and I think we'd be in great shape across the board.

Yep, I can finally use the Thanny Prime again. I'll still have to steer clear of Xpulses for a while, though, with my framerates.

I wish the Uziel had an LBX10+LBL or AC10+LBL variant.
