IMO Scat C is a 'damage dealer'. Not a 'rogue'.
Lacks GECM and the low profile to act as a proper 'rogue'.

Puma-C more expensive than Bush-A.... hmm...  I love them both, but I am admittedly scratching my head a little bit on this one.  I know they are purposed differently, etc., etc. (internal cost calcs, yada, yada), but I don't really consider them equivalently "tiered"...

Just thought I would toss that out there for comments, since it's been on my mind a few days...

Sorry, but I feel free to disagree.

Talking in MMO terms:

IS fields mainly 'tanks', only a few 'damage dealers' are available.

Clan fields 'damage dealers' and 'rogues'. Some of Clan's 'damage dealers' even have tanking abilities.

The Puma C IMO is the classic 'rogue':
Fast, sneaky, great backstabber but you should not dare to charge a 'tank' face to face.

You wanna go face to face? Don't get a Puma.

This is right. It is quite easy to come out near or on top of the table with a Puma C, using completely different tactics than with the Bushy. Just sneak around with your GECM and take out targets with your great firepower from >500m. They are both useful in different ways, plus clan tech should be more expensive than IS because of its many benefits.

The price seems fine to me. I think they are equivalently tiered.

As for Scat C, that is a different kind of machine, jumpjets, no GECM to hide with and long radar. It is for a different purpose, and is more expensive anyway so I don't see the reason to mention it...

I don't think Assaults will win matches to be honest. A good heavy will wipe the floor with an assault. Especially since the assault is prime target.

In honesty, SA matches shouldn't go longer then 30 minutes. This would solve the issue. There would still be assaults, but only a few and like above they'd be prime targets for everyone else. If a match goes on for 60.. yeah after 45 minutes its going to be all assaults and heavies. But thats a server issue, not a developer one.

I plan just to drop from games that hit 30-40 minute marks in SA, look at the scorecard and gauge if I did well or not from there. If I'm at the top, I won. If not, then I didn't. Solves the issue of too many assaults for me.

I think as people continue to play SA, their strategies will improve.  One strategy that I have been seeing more and more is that mechs of the same weight class have been teaming up on higher weight classes.  I think we'll see more of that happening.  More teaming up and headhunting the highest scorer. 

That is a "Group Strategy" that will improve the status of the lowest scorers as a whole.  It's the "Nash Equilibrium" strategy, but just requires people to think at that level and to communicate.

I have experienced that a clan tag in SA makes you a prime target, regardless of the asset you have :D.

It is actually rather fun when almost everyone is after you.

Not that I knew of any. Damage is rewarded like in TSA (though the amount of points and the ranking system are somewhat different).
