Other bad offenders are Outpost and, of course, Sandblasted the players :D

Fixed that for you  8)
Seriously though, there is truth to that. Terrain may present you with one obvious tactic, but there are usually plenty more available. Problem is, most people seem to not want to bother going beyond that first initial reaction and when a critical mass is doing just that then things become static. There are usually (not always) ways to work around that too but...

Oh, and sand is awesome.

The problem is that once camping lines are set up, it is difficult for one player to break them. Getting 3-4 more people to change into brawler assets and come flank with you is hard. You can count on your own camper line to not move a bit and provide no support once the brawling starts. If you have several friends on teamspeak playing with you, you can easily break things up, but in that case you're probably winning no matter what.

I have no problem with Sandblasted (other than it being in rotations a bit too often), but Outpost is a camper's paradise. LTs and Aeros are unavailable on that map so it's just a contest of who can get a better combination of Arrows and LGauss Fafnirs.

TSA Sandblasted is only good for organised games, otherwise it degenerates into 'lets fight for the north pyramid, no fun allowed'.

Outpost ive never played.

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

This past weekend I had fun on Huntress on some community made map, but then it switched to TSA_Sandblasted and I was all :(

Its a great map, but I've played on it so much I basically quit now when that map comes up in the rotation.
Play my free open source web game MiniMek - Urbie Defense!  Its "mega fun" but with mini meks!

Can you guys please drop Extremity?  It's a good map, and I like to play it from time to time, but it clears the server.  Just when I am ready to play another round, late at night, this pops up and everyone is gone as soon as they see purple.

I really appreciate the changing of rotations every couple of days, keeps things from getting boring. :)

I haven't seen this myself.  I've played several full-ish games on Extremity in the past few days.

Sadly, I'm usually one of the people that bails on Extremity. I suppose it's because I've just joined recently and am still getting a hang of game physics without microgravity and crazy lighting coming into play, but seeing that name fills me with dread.

I've seen several full games of Extremity lately too.

My experience has been the opposite, when TSA Palisades rolls up I tend to see the server clear out.  I personally find the map layout to be unfairly biased in favor of the clan for the TSA game mode and it results in fairly uninteresting game play.

The primary complaint I think I've seen with Extremity is the ease of getting a non-JJ mech irrevocably stuck.

I think what he means is that when server collision detection starts to freak and you sink through the dish antennas, you are not able to get out of there without jump jets. Had it happening to myself numerous times.

Repro: 100% if CD is wonky and you step on an antenna.

I once drove an APC to help a teammate in a Demo who got stuck on one of the dishes. I got stuck myself as soon as I drove onto the dish. Both of us had to continue on foot but at least we could buy BA weapons.

I had a real bad stuck spot on extremity.  I will see if I can find the spot again sometime. I was under fire so it was fairly hard to pull out a screenshot haha but it was just over a lip of one of the radar dishes, I fell down and it is quite a interesting stuck spot

That is most likely a syncronizaton issue and may happen on all objects in the game, I've seen this happen in the small buildings on Thunderrift too where the client either sinks down into the structures or can walk straight into the buildings.
Also the edges of the antennas where the structure meet with the surface has issues afaik, though that applies to tracked vehicles specifically.

If/When you find issues map-wisely, please post them in the BUG Report board so they can be addressed.

Thanks for taking the time to direct our attention to this unique map.

I always thought getting stuck like that was left in the map intentionally :-\
