Never once in any of our alpha testing were we able to replicate the "no respawn" issue that you guys are describing. Call me a bit suspect but I have a feeling that players were not continuing to click to reissue the respawn requests and probably thought "I clicked once, that should do it" and didn't know that they needed to continue to reissue the respawn requests by additional clicks.
Beyond this, there are still servers out there running at far more than maximum recommended players. Let's get that fixed first and go from there.
Suggested player counts are per-map, not necessarily inherent to the mode itself. We may develop maps that have lower or higher numbers of suggested players in the future but for the 0.5.0 release we settled on a 16 player max as a good choice for our official map set.
Now, I am rather certain there were more then 16 players, maybe closer to 20 at the time. I have as well experienced the 30-45 second wait for respawn, me and Talon had it happen to us together sunday night. I WILL assure you KingLeer I was very much pressing my left mouse click, and my right mouse click, and the other buttons on my mouse, and space bar, and the left click, etc until I respawned. I find it hard to think all 16 bays are in use or were used within 30 seconds, it is possible though. But I have had this happen a number of times, and i do click multiple times.

+1 absolutely, the entire time i am clicking and whatnot trying to get back in, even tried hitting M and selecting a different spawn point at times to see if maybe it was just that spawn point being a choke point....but alas....no good. I even made a comment once about this is going to wear out my mouse button and/or batteries quickly because it's literally a minute or better of constant clicking.....click click click....on chat it was like...hey is anyone else stuck?....answers coming back "ive been stuck a while now"..."me too"...."yeah me too"....
you can even sit and watch after hitting Tab that there are people in game, who then get killed, you see their player name with the red crossbones icon...then they spawn again almost right away....while several of us sit and click incessantly to no avail...
all of this happening when there are only 18-20 players on the server, so while there may be something else server side that needs to be adjusted, i can assure you it wasn't because we had 30 people on the server on a map limited to 16 players....because in that same Tab menu you can clearly see how many people are (Spectating) and one particular time when Coffinail mentioned when I looked there was 16 active, 3 or 4 of those had the red crossbones including myself and coffinail (this is when we were stuck), and then there was two people listed as "spectating" so at that moment there was 18 people on server total, when he looked there probably was 20 total
i agree, get server admins on the same page as far as their configurations but as you can see above, the server was far from full
