No servers in list?
« on: June 03, 2011, 06:41:39 PM »
I have the proper MWLL build, 0.5.1
I patched up Wars completely to 1.5
NET framework 4.0 is installed
I have a valid Game spy account that I can detect and enter servers on Wars with.

What do I do? No servers show up when I enter MWLL. I've been toiling since afternoon yesterday, I want to play this total nuke of a game.

Edit: If this belongs in another thread, sorry about that.

There was something about .NET Framework 4.0 not working with MWLL, you might need to dial that back to 3.5 or whatever.   :)

.Net is only needed for the launcher & updater, not MWLL itself.

Did you install the vcredist_x86_2005_SP1_ATL.exe / vcredist_x64_2005_SP1_ATL.exe from your bin32/bin64 folder?

Crysis Wars 1.5, disk (1.1.1.6729)

Cygma, do I need to do that? How would I go about it?

Run the exe file that corresponds to your OS architecture, vcredist_x86 for 32 bit or vcredist_x64 for 64 bit environment.

Oh, you meant in the MWLL bin32 folder, right. I installed it, and still no server list.

Possible problem?: in the MWLL launcher, it detects Crysis 1.5.0. Is it supposed to say Crysis Wars? Since you guys dont support Crysis anymore, false detection maybe?

Also, I got .NET 3.5 SP1 instead of 4.0, but no dice

Probably something overlooked in the launcher text, I noticed it on my launcher too & I only have crysis wars installed.

Also when you load the mod from the launcher do the following things happen:

1. After loading you get the Wandering Samurai intro
2. You click on Multiplayer button on menu to the left
3. You click on Internet button on menu that comes up
4. Game connects to Crynet and logs you in (using Crynet Gamespy account).
5. Game grabs list of available servers and displays them in center panel

That's what I do and I don't have any problems.

Also do you use the default profile? or have you created a new profile in game?

1-4, but not 5. I see no list of servers.

I tried using both my old Crysis Wars account, and I made a new just to make sure, but still doesn't show anything.

Hi,
did you check your Firewall? e.g. the open Port Numbers?
greetings
.Lexwolf

...by myself i had the problem, that some (not all) open Port Numbers were suddenly closed, and the Serverlist was only partly shown...(for THAT, a special thanks to F-Secure >:()

My firewall isnt on at all, but are you saying I'd have to forward some ports through my router?

Also, does every have 10-15 seconds of black screen before the intro? Some times I press esc randomly, and eventually it comes up.

Edit: I can play in servers in Crysis Wars, but when i tried joining a few of the Punkbuster enabled servers (all are empty), I got kicked.

The Black screen (10 to 25 seconds) between hit the launch button an seeing the intro, is normal. don't worry about this.
Could it be possible, that you can not see ALL (!) Crysis Wars Servers?
If i were on your side of the table, i would check the Ports trough the router

BUT -by the way- going online without a firewall is a dangerous thing. 8)

What port range would I have to open through my router? I know MekTek needed 2300-2400.

Can any devs let me in on this one?

^^^
Your game is legit copy? i.e. you're using a legitimate serial key and not a cracked exe etc
When you fire up vanilla Crysis Wars and try to join a punkbuster'd server (or perhaps just log in for multiplayer in Wars) then it should ask you to input a serial key.
Most Crysis Wars servers are cracked now, apart from the punkbuster'd servers.

MWLL requires a legit copy of the game with a legit serial to be able to run (none of the servers are cracked/support non-legit clients).
