Wer kino.to nachtrauert, dem ist eh nicht mehr zu helfen :P.

Prinzipiell finde ich es nach wie vor idiotisch, dass die Medien Industrie immer noch so stur ist, 11 Jahre im 21. Jahrhundert hinein, aber der Untergang von kino.to berührt mich nicht wirklich.

Kino.to nutze ich schon lange nicht mehr, das von mir bevorzugte http://www.movie2k.com ist noch online.

Bei solchen Seiten ist es in der Regel nur eine Frage der Zeit. Normalerweise am Rande der Legalität, und das auch nur deshalb, weil die Gesetze hier nicht klar greifen. Moralisch gesehen ist die Sache klar: Man sieht sich etwas an wofür man eigentlich bezahlen sollte = Diebstahl.
Andererseits hat die Filmindustrie sich dieses Grab selber gegraben. Ich muss mit über 10€ pro person rechnen wenn ich ins Kino gehe. Das ist einfach unverschämt, v.a. da man keine Geld-zurück-Garantie bekommt.
Meiner Meinung gibt es folgende Sorten Film:
- Krasser Film, mit krassen Bildern und Ton, kommt nur im Kino voll rüber
- Guter Film, ordentliche Story, kann ich mir auch auf DVD mit Freunden ansehen
- Scheiss Kunst Film, würde ich noch nicht einmal runterladen/online sehen :)

Lol naja is genauso wie bei den ganzen Torrent Seiten. Wieviele wurde da dicht gemacht? 3 oder 4 ? Wieviele sind danach neu dazu gekommen? 30 oder 40 ?

Wenn du ohne zu bezahlen in einen Kinofilm, in eine Theateraufführung oder sonstige Veranstaltung eindringst, ist das auch kein "Raub" oder "Diebstahl", so wie du das auffasst. Du findest derartige Dinge also ok?

Ich wäre bei Kinofilmen für eine Geldzurückgarantie wenn man den Film spätestens innerhalb von 20min nach Begin wieder verlässt. Das hätte mir schon einige Euro gespart und würde mich auch wieder öfter ins Kino locken.

Kino.to was a big German directory of video streams where you could watch a shitload of movies and series (most of the time in both German and English, occassionally in other languages as well). It's been told it had about 4 million visitors per day. It had been there for like ages and has been taken down by the police today. This affects the lives of many people; instead of watching Family Guy I'm writing a class paper and so are thousands of other students.

Schon komisch, da es doch eh der deutsche Teil des Boardes ist (wo ich mir auch auf die Fahnen geschrieben habe ihn ein wenig am leben zu erhalten).
Jedenfalls denke ich nicht, dass die Studenten produktiver werden. Sie sind doch nur dann fleißig, wenn es darum geht mehr zeit zum faulenzen zu schaffen. Es soll ja auch noch movie2k als ausweichmethode geben.

Ich persönlich habe die Seite nie benutzt. *hüstel*  ;)
Aber ich habe einige junge Bekannte, (sozusagen Digital Natives) für die es normal war, statt auf dem Fernseher über Kino.to CSI zu schauen. (unter anderem auch ein 16 jähriges Mädel, welches sonst kaum mit dem PC klar kommt)
