I have gskill 1600 rated at 1.5 v, any reason not to run it at stock 1.5 v then?

Right now I am running p95 with x45 at 1.315v in bios with cpuz reporting 1.304v.
I have VRM fixed frequency at 350 hz, cpu current capability at 140%, and llc at ultra high.
Phase control and duty control both at extreme.
So far, its stable, what other settings can I reduce.
I have the vcore as low as it can or will bsod any lower.
I found I could lower the cpu current to 120% no problem but lowering the llc caused bsod when at medium.
Basically if I can get this stable at these settings I will set this as a profile only for MWLL and use a 4.3 or 4.2 OC for standard operation.

Why turn it down for everything else? Temps too high?

No, my highest temp is so far 61 c.
I just don't see the point of running at 4.5 ghz every time I turn on the computer.

You should always use the lowest voltage it's fully stable at.

Surley its way more effort going into bios everytime you want to play mwll...i dont see the point running it NOT at 4.5ghz...with such low voltage and good temps why wouldnt you?

Maybe its just me......

What is a good basement for running the ram at so I can lower it and do some p95 tests to find stability?
Also now I am up to 1.325 v at x45.
Is there any way I would ever have a significant loss of performance over the life of the cpu at these voltages.
I want this to last me the next 4 years, so longevity is critical.
That is why I want to run 2 profiles.

The max safe voltage from intel is 1.52v which would lower the life of the cpu. Most people would say 1.5 is the max safe voltage and anything below 1.45v wont effect the cpu much if at all. Basically your voltage is currently so low its going to do nought.

If 60c or so is the max temp in prime95 then you really are going to have zero problems running that cpu for four years plus.

You should run ram at the exact settings on the box with the voltage about 0.01 - .05 ( depends what bios lets you) more which i have and many others find helps on keeping the ram stable. If you really care about the timmings you can manually set them and then you may have to up one of the ram voltages (not vram voltage though) but honestly they make such little difference your never notice or care.

Generally ram doesnt effect oc not at 1600mhz. Just run a mix or large prime 95 run which stresses ram more than cpu and your soon find out if its a problem or not.

So I had p95 run for 4 hours just fine yesterday for x45 at 1.335v in the bios and the vcore fluctuated between 1.32 and 1.328 v.
I wasn't to happy to up the voltage above 1.32, but it seems relatively stable for now.
Going to do some more stress testing tonight.

Just run prime for 8 hours on blend, run 20 loop of LinX/IBT, then play some MWLL.

Unless you use the rig 24/7 then this will be stable enough.
