I ain't paying a dime.

I can't see the reason for not allowing units to run it because of "surveillance"

Have they ever seen the Crysis dedicated server? You can't even see the chat of players ingame, just who is actually on the server, and the players who crash just puke up a line of errors with no name.

I have no previous history or knowledge of the NBT people but from what I read between the lines in posts on this forum, one of the main reasons MWLL came about was due to the tyrannical rule of the NBT admins.

I submit that your inference capabilities whilst reading need some tweaking.

This would be true of MEKTEK, but not the NBT admins. I spent enough time with NBT to know the difference and the admins - they were not, by any standard, tyrannical. If you ever played in a good planetary league, you would know the difference. NBT had great leagues that persisted beyond all others because it was well run and populated by great people that wanted to play a MW-based game.

BTW, I often contributed decent money to the NBT leagues for CBS. Because I could and I appreciated that there were people willing to do things to facilitate game play.

I apologize for my confusion, but there are some pretty opinionated posts regarding the NBT people. Just in the last couple of hours I read these posts;

It sounds like to me the NBT admins are too balls deep in their own power craze. They have a neat automation and want to be in control of anything that has to do with it. They want MWLL players to play on NBT servers, they want us to be in NBT units that they have their little fingers in.

Well lets stamp it out before it starts. Let them sit in MW4 while it dies out (its my understanding that MekTek can't afford to distribute it any longer, but I could be wrong). This is one time I wouldn't mind seeing Harmony Gold get involved. Maybe they'll buy out their domain name (in regards to NBT, not Mektek).

1 server with virtual interfaces? GTFO. This mod beaks servers. This isn't MW4 here. honestly, these admins are dumber than dumb and I think I'll be hiding your posts from now on Aidan. I'm done with this NBT crap.

Well, if anyone's planning giving NBT the finger and making their own league, toss me a PM. I've got some SQL experience and a little bit of PHP knowledge (though I'd prefer Python due to my C++ background).

Perhaps it's better this way too, if the admins of NBT really are that touchy about servers and such.

Over the last couple of years similar post have been made. I think I'll stay with my original opinion of the NBT admins.

@wolfcat -- I submit that the NBT bashers were never in NBT, or if they were, they were not a good fit for the excellent league-play NBT is known for.

My experiences, and that of my Clan mates and other NBT-member were always positive. We got rid of sociopaths whenever we could. I would put NBT bashers in that camp.

Just as a clarification, because it's obvious that one need's to be made, NBT has never and will never require donations to participate in the league.  Donations are always welcome but AFAIK the league hasn't had any for several years and has operated without a hitch regardless.

This poll should never have been made because all it could ever do is piss people off and create even more disinformation and negative feelings about how NBT operates.

Well Mitchpate since this is your first post here at the MWLL forums, maybe you would like to take this opportunity to begin to tell the MWLL community how the proposed NBT MWLL Planetary league is going to operate.

And for those of you who do not know Mitchpate, he is a long time member of the NBT league and has played in the Lyran Alliance Inner Sphere house. I believe he is currently responsible for updating the NBT voice coms server to the new TeamSpeak 3 program and is also responsible for configuring the Crysis Wars dedicated server using the MWLL mod on the NBT league Virtual Machine server.

That's not my call, I'm not a league admin.  I'm just posting a very well known fact about the league's mentality, what you want to read into it is entirely up to you.

My qualifications don't really need detailing.  Those who've been active in NBT either in the past or in the recent effort to get this league off the ground will know who I am.  Those who haven't, well, probably won't care anyway :)  For thoroughness, I'm the guy currently re-vamping the NBT server. Before I get trolled, the call to use VMs was not mine.
